The Citrus Heights Water District (CHWD) is hiring a Public Affairs Analyst.
THE POSITION
The individual hired into this role will focus on policy and funding for water programs, infrastructure, and water efficiency initiatives. This position plays a vital role in maximizing external funding, supporting legislative and regulatory advocacy, and contributing to CHWD's long-term strategic goals.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:
Have proven grant writing success, ideally with public sector or utility-focused grants.
Have experience with policy research, legislative tracking, and impact analysis.
Possess the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and coordinate across departments.
Be skilled in technical writing, including translating complex issues into clear messaging.

This position will be open until filled, and applications will be accepted on a continuous basis. The first review will be on Monday, October 13, 2025. Applications will be reviewed weekly following the first review.

Appraisal Process –(Pass/Fail) - All submitted materials will be reviewed and assessed for each applicant's ability to meet the minimum work experience, training, and education qualifications. This process may also include various interviews and/or a skills assessment exam to rank applications, and to prepare a Qualified Candidate List.
Interview Process – Candidates who most closely meet the qualifications will be invited to a phone screening and/or in-person interview.
