Under the general direction of the Supervising Vessel Master, this position is responsible for the safe navigation of the vessel in accordance with Division policy and the requirements of law.  Responsible for the start-up and shut down of engines and generators plus the in-service care and maintenance of machinery and auxiliaries.   Supervises crew in general upkeep and cleanliness of vessel when in-service crew is aboard and performs other related duties as required by management policy.

Essential Responsibilities

• Navigates the vessel and is responsible for the safety of the passengers and crew.
• Supervises crew-members in safety procedures.
• Monitors and inspects the engine room and carries out servicing and maintenance procedures as directed.
• Conducts and supervises emergency drills prescribed by the US Coast Guard at intervals set by management.
• Assists with US Coast Guard and FCC inspections when required.
• Ensures that all US Coast Guard and FCC certificates are valid for vessel operation.
• Maintain an accurate daily vessel log and prepares such reports and documents as are required by law and District policy. 
• Knows and follows the safety and health rules and safe working practices applicable to his or her job
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with District employees, customers, vendors and all others contacted during the course of work using principles of excellent customer service. 
• Performs additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

POSITION DESCRIPTION 
 

The City of San Bruno Community Services Departments is hiring for a Library Page position at the San Bruno Public Library. The Library Page position is an entry-level, part-time role with limited benefits. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in playing a key role in the library's daily operations. Candidates must have a flexible schedule and be available to work 14-19 hours per week, including weekdays, evenings, and Saturdays, to meet the library's scheduling needs.

Under the general supervision of library staff, Library Pages perform routine tasks to maintain the organization of the library collections, including the shelving, sorting, and filing of books, magazines, audiovisual materials, and other library materials. Pages also clean and mend library materials, help set-up for various Library programs, assist in the opening and closing of the Library building for public access, and perform other clerical tasks as needed.

This role is physically active and requires regular movement and exertion. The Department consists of two divisions: Housing and Community Development (HCD) and the Housing Authority of the County of San Mateo.

HCD is recruiting for a Housing and Community Development Specialist II/III position. Reporting to the HCD Deputy Director of Real Estate Development and Asset Management, the Housing and Community Development Specialist II/III positions will engage in a variety of functions aimed at increasing the supply of affordable housing throughout San Mateo County and forging partnerships to address critical housing needs. The ideal candidate for this position has broad experience with real estate lending asset management, as well as specific experience managing affordable housing loans and assets in a public sector housing department, community development lending department at a financial institution, or asset management department for an affordable housing owner or developer. The ideal candidate will have experience responding to typical asset management requests from borrowers, other lenders, and government agencies. The ideal candidate will be able to develop and manage systems for documenting loan and sponsor health, including risk rating systems. THE POSITION

The City of Redwood City is looking for a dynamic, energetic, team oriented full-time (40-hours per week) Library Services Supervisor to manage, direct and coordinate a work area of the Youth Services and Community Engagement Division.  This individual will also work closely with the Library Division Manager to plan and deliver library programs for youth, coordinate the activities of the Library Makerspace, create the weekly customer service schedule, supervise staff, assist with marketing projects and other duties as assigned.
