The final candidate's qualifications and experience shall determine the actual salary. In addition to the starting salary, employees in this classification shall also receive an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation pay, which is included in the range below.

The Accountant I salary range is $84,630.00 - $102,931.92 annually.

This is the entry level paid classification in the field of firefighting. It is distinguished from the classification of Fire Engineer in that the latter is assigned more responsible and varied duties which require knowledge and experience in driving motorized fire fighting vehicles and operating related pumping, hydraulic and other specialized fire equipment.

The City of Belmont is looking for an experienced professional for the position of Budget Manager. Under general direction of the Finance Director, the Budget Manager administers a variety of complex and professional budget and financial support functions within the Finance Department, including preparation and execution of all budgets, reports, accounting records, financial forecasts. This classification is responsible for the development, maintenance, and operation of the City's Annual Budget; providing financial information and analysis to aid in executive management decision making; performs the highest level of complex budget analysis and has frequent interaction with staff and leaders of other City departments. This classification may also oversee general financial functions such as cash flow management, audit procedures, payroll processing, coordinate assigned activities with other departments and outside agencies, supervise finance professional, technical and clerical staff, and related work as assigned.  A hybrid/partially remote schedule may be approved by the department.

The San José Fire Department's (SJFD) core mission is to serve the community by protecting life, property, and the environment through prevention and response. This is the trainee level class in the Firefighter series, responsible for becoming proficient in the understanding of lifesaving and firefighting methods within the SJFD. Through a specific program comprised of general and specialized education, focused training including extensive hands-on experience, Firefighter Recruits will learn diverse tasks, policies, procedures and standards within the SJFD. The Principal Accountant will be responsible for leadership and oversight of fiscal management functions for San José Clean Energy (SJCE). The incumbent in this position will lead the Department's fiscal/accounting team and oversee all fiscal management activities for SJCE, including but not limited to the following:

• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and business processes to comply with generally accepted accounting principles and satisfy the financial management requirements associated with long-term power purchase agreements;
