Sunnyvale Golf Course is a par 70 regulation 18-hole course with numerous bunkers, dog legs and water holes. Sunnyvale is a well-manicured test of the player's skill stretching out to 6,255 yards. Sunken Gardens Golf Course is a 9-hole, 1,502 yard executive course. Sunken Gardens is ideal for the beginner golfer with ample practice facilities and shorter length holes. 

The Golf Service Assistant is responsible for performing customer service and cash handling tasks in accordance with standard procedures and following specific instructions from the supervising staff. The Golf Service Assistant classification is distinguished from the higher classification of Assistant Golf Professional in that the latter has increased level of responsibility, such as explaining and enforcing rules of the game of golf, equipment repair, golf starting, and event coordination.

The City of San Dimas Parks and Recreation Department offers a basketball league for youth ages 8-14 that emphasizes teaching fundamentals, sportsmanship, teamwork and fun. The program runs from December until March. Coaches must be available for practices two days per week scheduled between the hours of 2:45 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. and games Saturdays, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (all times approximate).  Additional hours for trainings and meetings as assigned.

The Position

The City of San Bruno is searching for a part-time temporary Accounting and Customer Service Assistant to work up to 16 hours per week. This position will be assisting the CityNet Services department with the overflow of customer service phone calls and emails, as well as entering invoices into the City’s financial payment system.

Distinguishing Characteristics:  The Accounting Technician I is the entry level class in the accounting support series that allows the incumbent to develop journey level knowledge and abilities. Initially, under immediate supervision, incumbents perform the more routine accounting support and customer service duties while learning City policies and procedures. As experience is gained, there is greater independence of action within established guidelines.

The Accounting Technician I receives direction from the Director of Finance, or designee.

• Operates cash register, acts as front counter staff.

THE POSITION / JOB DUTIES

The Police Public Service Assistant I (PSA I) is assigned to the Police Department’s Animal Services Unit and provides basic care for animals.  Examples of job duties include:

· Provide care of animals including feeding, grooming, cleaning, walking, behavioral assessments, enrichment, and exercise.

· Clean, disinfect, and maintain kennels and kennel area.

· Perform dishwashing and laundering.

· Help maintains a computerized record of animals at the shelter.

· Report any animals exhibiting symptoms of ill health or communicable disease.

· Provide customer service throughout the shelter.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent customer service experience and strong organizational and communication skills.  Additionally, the selected candidate will have proficiency in operating standard and specialized computer equipment and programs to assist with the daily animal services operations.  Professional experience working with animals is highly desirable.

COMPENSATION

THE POSITION

To perform a variety of skilled and semiskilled horticulture tasks in the construction, maintenance and repair of parks, pools, recreation, and cemetery facilities and buildings

The purpose of this recruitment is to hire a temporary/part-time Intern position.   Work hours vary by assignment and may be required to work evenings, weekends and/or holidays.  Position typically works 25-30 hours per week seasonally, Spring to early Fall.  

Temporary/Part-Time employees work no more than 130 hours per month AND 960 hours per Fiscal Year. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Performing general grounds cleaning, including emptying trash receptacles, mopping, sweeping, and raking City park and recreation sites as needed. Water, mow, cultivate, prune, weed, renovate, and fertilize grass, plants, trees, flowers, and shrubs. Operate power mowers, chain saws, rototillers, aerators, hedgers, spreaders, front-end loader, edgers, air compressors, and other equipment. Utilize proper safety precautions related to all performed work. Drive vehicles and equipment as required. Prepare and maintain athletic fields and related facilities, swimming pools, and cemetery/interment operations.  Regular and consistent attendance.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Install, maintain and replace playground equipment and fences; assemble tables, benches and bleachers. Works as a member of the City pest control crew spraying various fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and other related chemicals in City park and recreation areas. Respond to inquiries from the general public. Install, maintain and repair irrigation systems. Assist in setting up community services and special events. Maintain, repair and replace plumbing systems and fixtures such as light switches, motors, wall receptacles, conduits, faucets, drinking fountains, water heaters, water closet, urinals, water regulators and pressure valves.  May assist in street maintenance, building maintenance, or other public works projects, as required. Work cooperatively with others. Meet all Standby Program requirements, take standby duty, work any shift including weekends and holidays. Perform related duties as assigned.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:  No experience is required for the Intern position.

Licenses:  Required upon hire, possession of a California Driver’s License.
