The incumbent receives 9-1-1 system sheriff, fire, medical emergency and rescue calls; dispatches sheriff, fire and medical personnel following established procedures; maintains communication with officers in the field to ensure safety and provide back-up and information; provides relief coverage for the records unit; and performs related work as assigned.

Senior Community Service Officer (Full-Time)
Working in the Police Department, the Senior Community Service Officer will perform non-sworn administrative and field support duties requiring expertise in and specialized knowledge of a variety of law enforcement programs and services; to assist with confidential and sensitive projects. General direction is provided by the department head or designee. The position may exercise technical supervision over lower-level non-sworn staff as appropriate.
The Yuba County Sheriff’s Department is currently recruiting for the position of Correctional Officer in the Jail. Under continuing supervision incumbents perform a wide variety of support in two areas: corrections, in which incumbents ensure the security, safety and care of individuals in custody; and bailiff, in which incumbents ensure the safety and security of the courts and their personnel during court proceedings; and perform related work as assigned. Incumbents may be assigned to either County Jail security or Court security.
The Public Works Maintenance Worker IV position leads and works with a crew of workers engaged in the construction, maintenance and repair of County roads, bridges, culverts and other related structures, various traffic control maintenance and repair activities and in the Solid Waste Site operations of the Public Works Agency; operates a variety of heavy construction, maintenance and transportation equipment as necessary to complete daily tasks; performs semi-skilled and skilled maintenance tasks. This position is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week.
