The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for the position of Sheriff’s Records Clerk within the Yuba County Sheriff’s Department. Under general supervision, provide difficult, technical, complex or specialized work relating to Sheriff’s department records and associated automated information systems; and perform related work as assigned.  This position is often the first point of contact for the Sheriff’s Department. This is an advanced journey level in the clerical series. This position reports directly to the Sheriff’s Records and Communications Supervisor.

About the Position:  The incumbent will be a part of a collaborative, three-person Grants Program team within Administrative Services. The Grants Program identifies and secures external funding and manages a small Grantmaking Program. In this role, the Senior Technician supports the entirety of the grant lifecycle, including identifying funding opportunities, application review and editing, and, once awarded, developing funding agreements, monitoring compliance with the grant agreements, and working with Midpen departments to submit reimbursement requests, reports, and project deliverables. Additionally, the Senior Technician supports the administration of a small grantmaking program. Other duties include administrative and record-keeping functions, including editing board reports, meeting scheduling, contract management, invoice processing, and data management.  This is an advanced journey-level classification, where you will be asked to perform detailed and technical work accurately and in a timely manner.

The Novato Sanitary District is seeking an organized, collaborative, and fast-learning Administrative Services Technician to support a wide range of essential administrative services functions, such as risk management, human resources, purchasing, record management, and general administration. Under general direction of the Administrative Services Manager, the Administrative Services Technician is a confidential position that provides paraprofessional, technical, administrative, and secretarial support to District programs and services. The Administrative Services Technician learns and then applies procedural, program, and compliance knowledge; assumes ongoing, technical responsibilities specific to assigned areas, such as risk management and record management; works with departments and outside agencies to coordinate assigned programs, projects, and services; and performs research and routine analysis on a wide variety of special projects.

The Administrative Services Technician also supports the general administration of the District office, such as proofreading, filing, processing mail, answering the telephone, providing front counter customer service, maintaining calendars, organizing office storage, and setting up and breaking down the Board Room for meetings and events.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate has experience in either of two backgrounds. The first is a background in providing journey-level clerical or technical support in the public or private sector that included interpreting and explaining complex rules and regulations, researching information, and preparing accurate documents and reports. Alternatively, the second is a background in providing advanced office support that included data entry and the processing of forms and records.

In addition to one of these two backgrounds, the ideal candidate is curious and enjoys learning about new systems and functions at a technical level. They appreciate when careful precision and accuracy is necessary to complete a task. The ideal candidate is open to helping with functions and tasks that they are not familiar with and will seek out resources and guidance to better understand the function and complete the task accurately. They are also proactive in identifying needs, developing and recommending solutions, and ensuring the solution is fully implemented.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience: A combination of training and experience that demonstrates that a person has obtained the required knowledge and is able to perform the essential duties of the position. A person with the following combined training and experience would typically qualify to compete in a selection process:

• Equivalent to graduation from high school and four (4) years of increasingly responsible journey-level clerical or technical support experience which included responsibility for interpreting and explaining complex rules and regulations, researching information, and preparing accurate documents and reports, or advanced office support work that included data entry and the processing of forms and records.

To perform a wide variety of general clerical and administrative duties for a City department; and assist the public.  The purpose of this recruitment is to fill a current vacancy in the Public Works Department, as well as establish an eligibility list for future vacancies.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Administrative Clerk II:  This is the journey level class in the series and is distinguished from the I level by the ability to perform the full range of duties assigned with only occasional instruction or assistance.

Provides excellent customer service; answer telephone and direct callers; receive visitors at a public counter and identify a variety of needs; provide information on department policies and procedures as appropriate; schedules appointments. Performs a wide variety of routine clerical work including filing, billing, checking and recording information on records, maintaining logs for assigned functions. Type, proofread and process a variety of complex and/or sensitive documents including general correspondence, memos, and charts from rough draft or verbal instruction. Enter and retrieve data from on-line or stand-alone computer systems; operate computer systems to generate reports and perform other automated processes. Work cooperatively with others. Regular and consistent attendance.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Gather information from individuals or reference sources to complete and process various forms, records and applications; compile routine information and data for statistical and financial reports as assigned. Receive, sort and distribute incoming and outgoing correspondence. Issue, receive, type and process various applications, permits and other forms. Accept payment of fees; maintain and process cash records, disburse petty cash funds, and perform related basic computations. Maintain records and process forms, such as time records, purchase requisitions and orders, and other specific to the organizational unit.  Perform related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:  Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.

Experience:  One (1) year of experience performing duties comparable to those of an Administrative Clerk I in the City of Woodland.

DEFINITION

Under general supervision, the Plant Operator II during an assigned shift is responsible for operation of the wastewater treatment plant and for maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

Monitors the operation of the wastewater treatment plant; operates treatment facility equipment such as settling tanks, pumps, activated sludge process, digesters, centrifuge, chlorinators and valves to control flow and processing of wastewater sludge and effluent; monitors gauges, dials, meters and control panels, and other recording instruments, interpreting results to determine processing requirements, and records data; oils, greases, and cleans equipment; services and maintains a variety of plant equipment; extracts samples and performs laboratory tests and analysis; inspects plant equipment and facilities to locate and report needed repairs; performs general plant maintenance work, such as sweeping, cleaning, sanding, and painting; performs general grounds maintenance work; maintains routine and daily records and shift logs; assists in the training of other plant operators, makes operating decisions in the absence of supervisory personnel; may have to work under adverse conditions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of: The operation and routine maintenance of mechanical equipment, including pumps and electrical motors; control procedures for wastewater treatment processes; tools, equipment and methods used in the overhaul, repair, adjustment and modification of stationary power equipment, and of the pumping, piping, and electrical systems used in the water quality control plant; sewage treatment processes and the laboratory tests used to check the effectiveness of such processes.

The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for the County-wide classification of Senior Accounting Technician. The current vacancy exists within the Treasurer – Tax Collector’s Office. Under direction, the incumbent performs a variety of technical financial and accounting duties that require a specialized knowledge; provide administrative support to assigned supervisor; perform the most difficult and responsible types of duties assigned to classes within this series, which may include providing lead direction over assigned personnel and performing duties including, but not limited to, verifying and updating assessment tax roll information, leading the centralized payroll function, and assisting with the preparation of budget documents and perform other duties as assigned. This department is seeking to fill one (1) full-time Power Resources Specialist I/II position to support the Power Resources Division.

The Power Resources Specialist I/II position reports to a Principal Power Resources Specialist in the Power Resources Division. This position is part of an exciting, fast-paced team responsible for procuring hundreds of megawatts of renewable energy projects.

The selected candidate will have the following duties and responsibilities:

• Supports the preparation, issuing, and evaluation of solicitations related to Energy, Resource Adequacy and Renewable Energy Credits.
• Assists with the evaluation of pre- and post-release solicitation materials for long-term energy projects such as stand-alone and collocated energy storage, wind, and solar resources.
• Assists in the management, analyzing, and enforcing of power contracts, including long-term energy contracts through development, construction, and operation.
• Assists in the management and resolution of matters related to resources performance within the California Independent System Operator's energy and capacity markets.
• Supports SJCE Scheduling Agent, particularly focusing on stand-alone and collocated storage and renewables, based on SJCE's internal strategies and policies.
• Conducts primary research related to SJCE obligations within the CAISO, CPUC, and other regulatory frameworks with particular focus on matters related to stand-alone and collocated storage, and renewable energy assets.
• Participates in completing analysis and prepare procurement plans, including managing consultants, and developing procurement strategies.
• Supports and undertakes projects related to power, procurement, and validation; assists in the approval of energy purchases or sales of surplus energy.
• Participates in joint procurement with other Community Choice Aggregators (CCAs) and CA Community Power.

This vacancy is specifically for the Field Operations CSO position.

The City of Foster City is looking for a dedicated and responsible individual to join the Police Department as a Senior Community Services Officer. This position requires mature judgement and discretion and is given specialized training. We are seeking highly skilled individuals with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Under general supervision, this position supplements administrative staff and provides support for sworn staff in police operations. There are four main assignment areas for the position, but currently there is only one vacancy in Field Operations.

Field Operations Assignment:
Performs vehicle abatement duties, provides parking enforcement, performs evidence collection and processing in accordance with departmental procedures, prepares police and operational reports. Responds to subpoenas as necessary. Handle a variety of department fleet maintenance and equipment maintenance duties; run errands in support of department operations, and other duties as assigned.

Education:  A high school diploma or equivalent with courses in office administration or specialized job training, with undergraduate college course work, specialized administrative or law enforcement education and/or training. An associate degree is desirable.

Experience:  Two (2) years of full-time experience using computers, telephones, radios and other modern office equipment and programs including preparing, compiling and distributing records, budgets, reports and statistical information. Prior experience in Property/Evidence is desirable.

Licenses and Certifications: Possession of a valid California Class C Driver’s License and a good driving record.

Special Requirements
Ability to provide effective service and technical support; ability to learn all assignments; ability to sit for long periods of time, stoop, squat, lift and carry small boxes, supplies and equipment up to 25 lbs.; ability to remain calm and courteous in stressful situations, possess stamina for high workload periods, high profile projects and tight deadlines; coordinate and communicate with a wide range of people, effectively disseminate information and analyze relevant data; flexibility to work irregular hours and overtime as necessary; handle multiple priorities and respond to urgent requests; provide community service in a polite and courteous manner.

Selection Process
Applications will be reviewed for relevant education, experience, training and other job related qualifications. Based upon a review of employment applications, a limited number of the qualified applicants will be invited to participate in the examination process. 

The process will consist of an Oral Panel Interview. An eligibility list will be established from those who pass the examination process with a score of 70% or higher. Current and future vacancies may be filled from this list. The list will remain in effect for at least one year unless exhausted sooner. 

The department will invite the most qualified candidates from the eligibility list to a final department interview. Applicants selected for a Departmental interview must complete a background investigation which includes a polygraph and fingerprinting. After a conditional job offer, applicants must also complete a psychological examination and pre-employment medical examination.
