The City of Sunnyvale has an opening for Plan Checker II, to review construction plans for code compliance. These positions work closely with the public to issue permits/plans that protect life and property. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise in the building codes, have strong organizational and administrative skills, and be solutions driven with strong customer service skills. The Building Safety team works as one solution-driven, cohesive team, and encourages leadership from the ground up.
The Chief Building Official supervises the activities of the Building Inspection Division; performs complex administrative and technical work in administering and enforcing state construction codes and City ordinances; acts as the Americans with Disabilities Act Compliance Officer; and administers the Fire Prevention agreement with the Alameda County Fire Department.

The City is accepting applications for a Hourly City Worker- Senior Crossing Guard.
The Senior Crossing Guard will work under the supervision of the Transit Program Manager and assist in the coordination of the school crossing guard program.
This is a part-time/hourly position and the incumbent will work approximately 20 - 25 hours per week during the school year, not to exceed 1000 hours in a Fiscal Year. Schedule will be dictated by school schedules.
Under general supervision, the Part-time Building Support Specialist will perform a variety of departmental support including plan checking and permitting in connection with the City’s building regulations. This position will also perform clerical duties, such as recordkeeping, typing, filing, word processing, customer service and computerized data entry.
Code Enforcement Official I/II
Level I: $4,637 - $5,636 per month
Level II: $5,116 - $6,219 per month(Contract negotiations are currently in progress and will provide a salary increase effective FY 21/22)

THE POSITION: The City of Campbell is currently recruiting for a School Crossing Guard position.
Be an important member of a successful team of individuals committed to the safety of school children in our community. School Crossing Guards work approximately 15-20 hours per week during the regular school year. School Crossing Guards are assigned to designated locations in the City of Campbell assisting elementary and junior high school students to safely cross the streets.
SALARY: $16.00-$23.00 Hourly
The City of San Jose is recruiting for a part-time School Crossing Guards in the Police Department during the normal school year. Work involves providing for the safe conduct of elementary and junior high school children across heavily traveled streets and reporting problems requiring possible police action.
