Fremont Police Department - Animal Services
Fremont Animal Services is responsible to protect the public and animals in our City. The shelter provides compassionate and humane care to the animals brought to us; responsible ownership through licensing, adoptions, and spay/neuter. Our Field Services actively respond to reports of injured animals, and cases of neglect and cruelty.
Performs semi-skilled, skilled, and administrative work in the repair and maintenance of vehicles and mechanical equipment operated by the City of San Dimas. Responsible for preventive maintenance program, vehicle/equipment maintenance and coordination of efforts for records and fleet/inventory control management. Manages the contracting and/or outsourcing of specific mechanical functions or operations. Performs mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on City of San Dimas equipment.
This is an on call, temporary, non-benefited position in our Fleet Division in Menlo Park working between 10-30 hours a week. This is an entry-level, learning position and we are looking for a motivated candidate that is interested in gaining mechanical skills on heavy and light equipment. The incumbent will report to the Fleet Supervisor and in addition to learning and performing basic mechanic work, will all provide extra help around the garage. This work will include:
