Under direct supervision, the Police Cadet performs a variety of routine and progressively more difficult tasks in an apprenticeship program in preparation for a career in law enforcement. The Police Cadet performs assignments in various divisions of the Police Department and completes related work as required.

The Associate Construction Inspectors assigned to the Construction Management Services-Capital Program section are responsible for technical inspection services to ensure compliance with City and State Standards and Specifications. Typical duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Receives and dispatches 9-1-1, emergency and non-emergency calls from the public and allied agencies for police, fire and ambulance personnel, equipment, services, and after-hours public works services.
The Public Works Department is looking to fill two (2) Air Conditioning Mechanic vacancies. The Air Conditioning Mechanic position is responsible for performing HVAC duties at more than 200 civic building sites across San Jose. The position will be responsible for performing the operational support, adjustment, troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance of heating, ventilating, air conditioning systems and auxiliary equipment.
This position will require controls experience, mechanical equipment experience, and water treatment experience.
