WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Transit Manager is an important part of the City's transit team that provide services including the Auburn Loop fixed route and Auburn OnDemand ride share programs.

Under direction of the Public Works Director, the Transit Manager is responsible for the management, supervision and participation in the daily operations of the Transit Division. The incumbent can expect to be involved in the daily operations, division’s budget, capital and grant-funded development projects, and a wide variety of administrative, research and analytical duties in support of assigned department.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES

The following duties are typical for this classification. Actual work may vary based on department needs or change due to evolving business practices.

• Plans, prioritizes, assigns, supervises, reviews and participates in the daily operations and staff work of the Transit Division, participates in budget development and administration, and selects, trains and evaluates personnel.
• Establishes schedules and methods for providing transit services, schedules drivers and ensures coverage of shifts, coordinates maintenance and allocation of vehicles, provides safety training, and responds to accidents and incidents, conducts investigations, and takes corrective actions.
• Coordinates transportation needs for schools and special events, coordinates transit activities with other divisions and agencies, and performs customer relations tasks, including answering questions and issuing passes.
• Develops and implements goals, objectives, policies and priorities for the Transit Division, ensures compliance with established policies and procedures, and works with local businesses to promote transit services.
• Conducts research, analyzes data and prepares reports to support decision-making, provides staff assistance to higher-level management, identifies opportunities for service improvement, and recommends changes and improvements to standards and procedures.
• Participates in committees and prepares reports, represents the City at various meetings and events, attends professional group meetings to stay informed about industry trends.
• Perform related duties as required.

The Yuba County Probation Department is seeking to fill a full-time Correctional Technician position at its Youth Detention Facilities. Working under general supervision, the Correctional Technician is responsible for monitoring video and audio systems to maintain the safety and security of both youths and staff within the secure detention areas. Additional responsibilities include performing various technical and clerical tasks related to the intake and release process for juveniles at the Tri-County Juvenile Hall and Maxine Singer Youth Guidance Center, inputting relevant data into the booking system, documenting observations of juveniles, providing public reception and assistance, and other related duties as assigned.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

Essential:

• Process paperwork provided by law enforcement officer or the courts for new inmates or youth; verify information on booking forms; obtain signatures; oversee telephone usage; obtain photographs; inventory and securely process property and money for safekeeping.
• Gather and enter inmate or youth information into computerized booking system; prepare and route computer-generated booking; complete files, logs, charts and other documents associated with jail or juvenile detention facility booking activities.
• Participate in monitoring safety and security of the staff, inmates, juveniles, visitors and facility; notify appropriate staff of any incidents, problems, or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and assess the behavior of inmates or youth from a control room; monitor radio communications; and operate intercom and electronic door controls in routine and emergency conditions.

The City of Auburn is seeking a dedicated and proactive law enforcement professional to serve as the Chief of Police.

What You Will Do

The Chief of Police is responsible for the planning, administration and operation of the APD under general administrative direction. About The Agency

The Northern California Regional Intelligence Center (NCRIC) and Northern California High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (NC HIDTA) is seeking a Lead Intelligence Analyst. The NCRIC/NCHIDTA fusion center is located at the Phillip Burton Federal Building, 450 Golden Gate Avenue, San Francisco, CA. Most Lead Intelligence Analyst positions are in San Francisco. Qualifications

Education and Experience: Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is:

Education equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Quantitative Analysis, Information Management, Criminal Justice or a related field; and

Three (3) years of experience involving crime data collection, statistical research and analysis, and working with criminal intelligence automated systems design and implementation.

Licensure/Certification: Possession of or acquisition of a valid certification in Crime and Intelligence Analysis within twelve (12) months of appointment or other training certification that demonstrates qualifications that meet or exceed competencies identified in the Global Justice Information Sharing Initiative, Law Enforcement Analytic Standards Booklet, 2nd Edition: Law Enforcement Analytic Standards (ojp.gov) , and the Common Competencies of Intelligence Analysts, 1st Edition: Common Competencies for State, Local, and Tribal Intelligence Analysts (ojp.gov)

Other Requirements: Must successfully complete a thorough law enforcement background investigation/security clearance prior to appointment and obtain a National Security Clearance within the first eighteen (18) months of employment. The Position

The Intergovernmental and Public Affairs Unit is responsible for managing the County's legislative programs in Sacramento and Washington DC. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Two (2) years of experience in public contact work involving zoning administrative investigation, building inspection or investigation, industrial/commercial pretreatment inspections, or stormwater pollution control, one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.

Possible Substitutions:
• One (1) year of additional related experience may be substituted for each year, up to two years of the required education.

Desirable Qualifications:
• A Bachelor's Degree in City or Urban Planning, Business Administration, Construction Technology, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or closely related field is desirable.
• A Code Enforcement Officer Certification by the California Association of Code Enforcement Officers (CACEO) is desirable.

LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATES
• Possession of a valid California Class C driver's license is required at time of appointment and for the duration of employment.

For the Public Works Department:
• A recognized professional certification within the stormwater management field (QSP, QISP, CSM, CESSWI, CPESC, CPMSM, etc.) within twelve (12) months of appointment and for the duration of employment.

For the Water and Sewer Utilities Department:
• A Grade II Environmental Compliance Inspector Certification issued by the California Water Environment Association within twelve (12) months of appointment and for the duration of employment.
• A Water Distribution Operators Certification from the State Water Resources Control Board is desirable.
• A Cross-Connection Control Program Specialist Certification from the American Water Works Association is desirable.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• May be required to occasionally work evenings and weekends.

• Create and maintain departmental activities files. Research files for information in response to department staff requests.
• Assist with reporting requirements such as the Annual Progress Report for the Housing Element.
• Create building permit database and land use tracking systems
• Maintain and update GIS mapping system and other databases, create charts and maps as requested.
• Process code enforcement cases.
• Coordinate and conduct follow-up abatement procedures, including preparing correspondence, and property owner site visits. Conduct code and ordinance research for compliance. Receive, track/monitor and investigate public staff municipal codes and ordinances, standards, health and safety and other complaints.
• Conduct review of discretionary planning applications for design review, exceptions, tree removal, and other related requests.
• Serve as the City’s staff liaison to various groups (i.e., Orinda Historical Society)
  Basic mathematical principles.

• Proficiency in GIS mapping.
• English usage, spelling, vocabulary, grammar and punctuation.
• Working knowledge of modern office equipment and procedures, including the use of a variety of software applications.
• Principles and procedures of record keeping.
• Business letter writing and report preparation.
• Excellent customer service skills.
