Management Analyst

Salary: $97,707.00 - $117,823.00 Annually

The Facilities Management Division of the Public Works Department is seeking to fill two (2) overstrength Communications Installer positions. These positions are funded through June 30th, 2020, with an anticipated extension through fiscal year 2020-2021.

 

Under general supervision of the Senior Automotive Equipment Specialist, typical duties of the Communications Installer include installing 2-way radios into a variety of vehicles, including but not limited to Police vehicles and motorcycles, Fire department apparatus and other city department vehicles.

 

Installations are to be industry accepted best practices including the selection of proper wire sizing based on electrical loading, equipment placement with emphasis on serviceability, proper wire routing, proper power distribution, antenna placement, and grounding/power return.

 

The Communications Installer will also be responsible for the installation of intercom systems, emergency/warning lighting, vehicle electronics, computer equipment and terminals, antennas, and custom installations of non-standard equipment. This equipment is commonly used in emergency vehicles and municipal equipment.

 

This position requires the following knowledge and abilities in order to be successful in the position:

 

-  Knowledge and ability to install and diagnose the systems and equipment similar to the City’s Fleet including sirens, light bars, accessory lighting, FLIR devices, Tracking systems, timers, and the knowledge to interface with those systems when necessary.

 

-  Ability to follow verbal/written direction, read/ interpret schematics, schematic symbols, and wire diagrams.

 

-  Ability to accurately document all non-standard installations, complete necessary paper work, installation forms, and data entry in a timely basis.

 

-  Ability to work effectively and communicate with the vendors on interconnection and installation. May be required to diagnose issues when necessary.

 

-  Ability to work in a team environment on large projects working within established labor standards to meet project completion goals.

THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking for one individual to serve as a Medical Assistant for the Supplemental Crisis Team. The Medical Assistant will assist licensed medical staff by providing client services that include basic administrative, clerical, or medical support services for mentally ill and emotionally disturbed clients in an outpatient clinical setting.  This position will report to the Crisis Intervention and Medication Support Manager.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Coverage for Garey site Medical Assistant; process Medi-Cal and insurance verification;
• Reconcile verification of ambulance and labs, pharmacy invoices, medication list, pharmacy refill follow-up documents, authorizations and TARS, data gathered from treatment nurse, medication consents (including obtaining consents);
• Medication pick up; filtering pharmacy and lab calls; faxing of insurance, notes and CBC’s as appropriate;
• Monitoring treatment plan expiration dates to ensure compliance; ordering supplies; monitoring SHARPS container and medical disposal;
• Scheduling in-services with pharmaceutical agencies, second medical transport as needed, fielding non-clinical, medication questions, appointments and reminder phone calls;
• Various clerical support duties such as copying, securing signatures and data entry;
• Perform other duties as assigned.

  ABOUT THE POSITION
The City of Gilroy is recruiting for the position of Police Records Technician I. The general goal of the Records Division is to provide timely and courteous customer service and support to the citizens of Gilroy, members of the police department, affiliated criminal justice agencies including inquiries at the public counter, over the phone, and through the mail, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in accordance with local, state and federal laws and regulations.
 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Under the direct supervision of the Crime Analysis/Records/Property & Evidence Manager, and under the functional supervision of the Police Captain, perform a variety of clerical duties, in support of police activities, some requiring speed and accuracy.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, the Public Safety Specialist – Dispatch , as a member of the Police Department, transmits and receives information over the police and public works radio system; dispatches routine and emergency calls for service; types, records, and files information; handles emergency and non-emergency telephone calls utilizing complex technical aids, such as computer aided dispatch systems (CAD), and performs related work as assigned.

 

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all inclusive for specific positions.

 

• Receives emergency and non-emergency telephone calls from the public for police, fire, or other emergency services; determines the nature of the call and the resources necessary to respond.

MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND GENERAL WORKING CONDITIONS: This position will require the ability to work rotating shifts on an on-going basis, including irregular hours on short notice. This position will also be assigned a uniform to wear during work hours.

 

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Any combination of the listed experience and education requirements may lead to a qualifying application. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

• Possession of a High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
• Completion of college-level coursework is highly desirable
• A minimum of one year of public safety call-taking and radio dispatching is required
• Possession of Basic P.O.S.T. Dispatch Certificate is highly desirable and may be substituted for work experience

OTHER INFORMATION

Temporary employees are non-benefited, at-will positions. Since the City does not participate in Social Security and is required to provide an alternative retirement plan, you are required to participate in the City's defined contribution retirement plan through Nationwide where 3.75% of your gross compensation per pay period is deducted and put into the plan. The City matches this 3.75% for a total contribution of 7.5% of your gross compensation per pay period.

The Department of Transportation is currently recruiting for 2 Principal Construction Inspectors for: (1) Pavement Maintenance and (1) Trees and Sidewalk.  DOT is seeking a seasoned construction professional with strong team leadership and development skills to fill the critical role of Principal Construction Inspector (PCI) for the Infrastructure Maintenance Division.

 

The PCI in the Pavement Maintenance section is in charge of street analysis with regard to condition assessments.  The incumbent will assist in project scoping, planning and delivery services through close collaboration with the Pavement Engineering team. The incumbent will also supervise a team of Senior and Associate Construction Inspectors in the field inspection and documentation.  Team building and technology implementation is highly desired. This incumbent will also be responsible for inspecting the pavement projects and ADA projects and ensuring that contractor work meets City Standards Specifications. The PCI acts as the lead inspector on Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) access ramp projects as well as other street improvement projects and ensures those projects are built per City Standard Specifications.

 

The PCI in the Trees and Sidewalk section is responsible for assessing trees, sidewalks, park-strip, driveway, and curb/gutter conditions and ensuring that any required repair work is performed and completed per industry and City Specifications. The incumbent will assist in project scoping, planning and delivery services through close collaboration with the use of contractual services. The incumbent will also supervise a team of Senior and Associate Construction Inspectors in the field inspection and documentation.  Team building and technology implementation is highly desired.

 

Primary responsibilities and duties for the Principal Construction Inspector include but are not limited to: 

 

• Management and coordination of inspection services for pavement maintenance, ADA ramp installation, landscape maintenance, street sweeping, tree maintenance and sidewalk replacement, construction projects, balancing workload to address seasonal imbalances

• Cross train field inspection staff across programs to ensure proficiency in a variety of inspection areas 
• Oversight of purchase order and contracts management

The San Jose Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Senior Crime & Intelligence Analyst, which is the higher of two levels in the Crime and Intelligence Analyst series and is a working, first-line supervisor position.

 

This essential position in the Crime Analysis Unit is responsible for supervising staff and performing crime and intelligence analysis utilizing administrative, strategic, operational, tactical, and intelligence analysis techniques.  The position provides accurate and timely crime and intelligence information in support of patrol operations, criminal investigations, crime prevention, and administrative functions.  The position extracts raw data from multiple law enforcement systems and utilizes specialized analytical software applications to identify and monitor crime trends and criminal activity.  The position assists investigators in solving criminal cases by translating data into viable intelligence information.  The position also provides statistics for Police and City Budget management reports, resource allocation, grant-funded initiatives, special programs, etcetera.

 

Key duties of the Senior Crime & Intelligence Analysts include but are not limited to:

 

-Supervising a team of Crime & Intelligence Analysts, including prioritizing and assigning work, conducting performance evaluations, training staff, and making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.

 

-Reviewing incoming requests and determining the appropriate assignment based on the nature of the request, complexity, geographic area, staffing concerns, legal considerations, and deadlines.  This position works on highly confidential requests and/or conducts most complex crime and intelligence analysis assignments.

 

-Assigning daily requests for information and determining which systems and software applications to utilize for accessing, extracting, formatting, analyzing, interpreting, and disseminating data.

 

-Supervising the collection of official crime statistics to the Department of Justice per the FBI Uniform Crime Reporting Program as mandated by the State of California (and subsequent National Incident Based Reporting System) as needed.

 

-Providing support for the Chief's management operations; participating in regional data sharing and specialized briefings; and presenting training sessions to sworn and other civilian staff.

 

-Utilizing various law enforcement systems and software applications to develop comprehensive charts, graphs, tables, maps, timelines, telephone toll analyses, and related materials for use by various law enforcement personnel, City departments, and outside agencies.

 

-Conducting spatial and temporal analysis utilizing multiple databases within a geographic information system for use in identifying and depicting locations of serious offenders, crime patterns, trends, and series.

 

-Directing and assisting with special analytical projects dealing with crime, demographic resource allocation, budget, homeland defense, traffic enforcement, special operations, grant-funded initiatives, and event planning.

THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking for one individual to serve as Clinical Therapist I or II within the Child and Family Clinic’s School Partnership Program. The Clinical Therapist I/II position will appeal to individuals who are passionate about working with children, adolescents, young adults and their families and may have or would like experience in a school setting.  The Clinical Therapist I/II will report to the School Partnership Program Supervisor.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

 

• Provide individual, family, collateral and group therapy for children, adolescents, and youth with mental illness;
   
• Provide crisis intervention and case management as needed at the school site in Pomona, California;
   
• Conduct mental health assessments, treatment plans, provide crisis intervention as needed and complete all necessary documentation;

 

• Collaborate with school staff regarding student mental health needs and maintain regular contact with parents;

 

• Ensure that documentation is updated in Electronic Health Record (EHR) regularly;

 

• Screen and track school referrals, etc. and other duties as assigned.
