Emergency Dispatcher I/II (20500171)
The Emergency Dispatcher I/II position in the Sheriff’s Department performs a variety of difficult work in the provision of 24-hour-per-day, seven-days-per-week public safety emergency dispatch service, including all 911 communications. Emergency Dispatcher I is the entry level class in the Emergency Dispatcher series. It differs from Emergency Dispatcher II in that the II level is fully trained as a dispatcher and may provide training for the Dispatcher I. This position is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week.

This position performs a variety of complex and specialized technical work in the Cooperative Extension Department as the primary administrative support for the 4-H youth development program. Assists in coordinating and implementing assigned program tasks and special events that require a thorough knowledge of the terminology, procedures, and practices, business letter writing and report preparation. Designs and presents general and technical correspondence, and promotional materials; designs and develops forms, tracking systems, databases, and spreadsheets.
This is a journey-level class in the Police Records Specialist classification series responsible for maintaining information in specialized departmental databases, preparing and assembling reports, processing payments, and preparing and processing subpoenas, requests for information, and other documents. All activities are performed within specified legal guidelines. Incumbents are expected to work independently and exercise judgment and initiative.
