SENIOR TRANSPORTATION SPECIALIST

DEFINITION: Under supervision, coordinate and lead up to 10 Transportation Specialist drivers; coordinate the day to day operations of the transportation program which includes organizing route schedules and assisting in planning and implementing various projects in order to enhance the transportation program.
The County of Yuba is recruiting both Extra-Help and Full-Time positions for the Juvenile Corrections Officer I/II classification. These positions are located on the Tri-County Youth Rehabilitation Campus which falls under the Juvenile Institutions Division of the Yuba County Probation Department. Our Campus operates 24 hours a day, 365 days per year, and includes the Tri-County Juvenile Hall, Secure Housing Unit, and Maxine Singer Youth Guidance Center (Camp Singer).
The County of Yuba Probation Department is currently recruiting for both Full-Time and Extra-Help Control Room Operators for the Youth Detention Facilities. Under general supervision, the Control Room Operator monitors video and audio equipment to ensure the safety and security of youths and staff in secured detention youth facilities; maintains records and performs a variety of complex, technical or specialized office support related to the operation of the Tri-County Juvenile Hall and the Maxine Singer Youth Guidance Center; and performs other duties as assigned.
The Yuba County Sheriff’s Department is currently recruiting for the position of Correctional Officer in the Jail. Under continuing supervision incumbents perform a wide variety of support in two areas: corrections, in which incumbents ensure the security, safety and care of individuals in custody; and bailiff, in which incumbents ensure the safety and security of the courts and their personnel during court proceedings; and perform related work as assigned. Incumbents may be assigned to either County Jail security or Court security.

The Crossing Guard position is a temporary position, approximately five hours per day, two (2) hours in the morning and three (2) hours in the afternoon, Monday through Friday. Crossing Guards work a school year (September through June). Applicants must be able to work outdoors, have reliable transportation or ability to report to assignment consistently.
