DEFINITION

Provide analytical, coordination and operational support within the Development Services Department; primarily responsible for transportation planning functions. Provides secondary support to economic development and special events programs.

Receives direction from the Transportation Manager.  May exercise supervision over technical and/or support staff as assigned. 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Essential duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Implement and administer the Neighborhood Traffic Management Program.
• Assist in the implementation of other programs and projects within the functional areas of the team (e.g., Street Smarts, Traffix, SWAT, etc.).
• Serve as project manager on assigned transportation programs and related projects, which includes background research, environmental review, preparation of public notices and staff reports, coordination of meetings and hearings, and oversight of implementation.
• Represent Danville on assigned regional transportation forums, including committees and subcommittees of the Contra Costa Transportation Authority and Tri-valley Transportation Council.
• Attend regional transportation meetings and ensure the Town’s positions are represented; advocate when directed and appropriate; participate on various local interagency and interdepartmental boards and committees; facilitate committee meetings as assigned.
• Perform funding/grant development and administration, including conducting research, identifying regional, state, and federal funding sources, writing proposals, preparing grant applications, and programming and administering awarded grant funds.
• Provide support to other departments, boards and commissions, and the general public.
• Conduct special research projects, including gathering, compiling and analyzing information; provide alternatives and make recommendations on courses of action; give presentations on findings.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of program budgets, monitor expenditures and revenues to ensure availability of funds, initiate invoices, and facilitate collection of funds.
• Administer Danville’s public electric vehicle charging program.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of:

• Modern principles and practices of transportation and urban planning.
• Project management skills; experience with development of transportation program development and coordinating the planning and design of transportation projects.
• Federal, state, and local transportation grant applications and administration.
• Methods and techniques of effective report preparation and presentation.
• Techniques for effectively representing the Town with the public, community groups, business community, and other professional and regulatory agencies.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Experience:

Two (2) years of full-time or four (4) years of part-time related professional experience, with a background in transportation, planning, traffic engineering, or public administration.  Public sector experience desirable. 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, civil engineering, architecture, public administration, or closely related field.

Possession of a valid California State Driver's License, or license in another state with the ability to obtain a California license within 30 days of hire.

The City of Dixon is accepting applications to fill one (1) full-time position of Transit Driver/Dispatcher and to establish an eligibility list for future use.  

This position drives a Readi-Ride General Public Paratransit Vehicle (GPPV) on a demand responsive curb-to-curb transit system and assist patrons boarding and leaving the bus, especially the elderly, disabled, and school age children. May also assist in collecting information relating to the operation of the system; receive ride requests and organize the vehicle pick-ups and drop-offs; and, will work closely with the drivers and Transit Supervisor to ensure coordinated efforts.

The Dixon Fire Department is opening their first Firefighter/Paramedic Recruit position for someone to attend the Fire Academy in August 2024. The "Firefighter/Paramedic Recruit" is an entry-level classification designed for recruits with a current paramedic license to gain firefighting, fire rescue, and fire prevention skills and training necessary through an accredited Fire Academy. The City of Marysville is hiring for a total of 1 Engineer position, and create an Employment List.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is conducted both in a fire station and in the field in various settings. Some of these include exposure to smoke, odors, heat, steam, fumes, and dust, as well as periodic exposure to dangerous or life-threatening situations. Work involves irregular hours during days and evenings, on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for the position of a Limited Term Project Manager in the Administrative Services Department, with a focus on the scheduled Library Renovation. This limited term appointment is set to end in June 2025.

About Administrative Services:

The Administrative Services Department provides logistical and resource support to all County departments. We are the primary provider of Custodial Services, Fleet Services, Capital Improvement Planning and Acquisition and Facilities Maintenance. We provide purchasing guidance and serve as Purchasing Agent for County procurement needs as well as assist vendors interested in doing business with the County.

The City of Patterson is recruiting for a Firefighter Paramedic.  This safety position will respond to fire alarms, emergency medical calls, traffic accidents, rescue and other emergency calls to protect life and property.  This position will also participate in trainings, drills, study activities and in the maintenance of the department apparatus, equipment, and facilities.  Under the supervision of the Fire Engineer or Fire Captain, performs ALS care to patients of medical emergencies and other medical procedures. DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The City of San José Housing Department is a leader in the development of affordable housing. Its mission is to strengthen and to revitalize our community through housing and neighborhood investment. The Housing Department provides loans for the development of affordable housing and manages a portfolio of over 17,000 housing units with a total value that exceeds $700 million. Over the next five years, the City Council has a goal of creating 25,000 housing units, 10,000 of which will be affordable. The Development Officer will be assigned to the Multifamily Project Development Program and will manage all phases of affordable housing lending. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES

• Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, review, and participate in the work of staff responsible for Auburn Transit daily operations; perform regular road supervision, vehicle trial checks, and daily vehicle inspection monitoring.
• Establish schedules and methods for providing Auburn Transit services; schedule drivers to ensure routes are completed in a safe and timely manner; coordinate any changes to facilitate coverage for all shifts.
• Coordinates transportation needs for local schools and special events; prepares calendar of trips or special events to be incorporated into the bus timetable; identify resource needs; review needs with appropriate management staff; allocate resources accordingly.

• Act as Safety Liaison with various agencies including police and emergency authorities as necessary.
• Provide regular informational and safety meetings.
• Perform a full range of customer relations; answer questions from the public relating to bus routes and schedule of pick-ups and drop-offs; issue bus passes.
• Work with local businesses to promote the use of Auburn Transit and fulfill the optimal service hours of the route.
• Operate a bus as necessary to cover shifts.
