About the Position:  The incumbent will be a part of a collaborative, three-person Grants Program team within Administrative Services. Midpen aims to recruit and retain employees who embody professionalism, accountability, and respect, who value working in a purpose-driven agency that aspires to contribute to an inclusive, diverse and equitable community.

The Grants Program identifies and secures external funding and manages a small Grantmaking Program. In this role, the Senior Technician supports the entirety of the grant lifecycle, including identifying funding opportunities, application review and editing, and, once awarded, developing funding agreements, monitoring compliance with the grant agreements, and working with Midpen departments to submit reimbursement requests, reports, and project deliverables. Additionally, the Senior Technician supports the administration of a small grantmaking program. Other duties include administrative and record-keeping functions, including editing board reports, meeting scheduling, contract management, invoice processing, and data management.  This is an advanced journey-level classification, where you will be asked to perform detailed and technical work accurately and in a timely manner.

The Novato Sanitary District is seeking an organized, collaborative, and fast-learning Administrative Services Technician to support a wide range of essential administrative services functions, such as risk management, human resources, purchasing, record management, and general administration. Under general direction of the Administrative Services Manager, the Administrative Services Technician is a confidential position that provides paraprofessional, technical, administrative, and secretarial support to District programs and services. The Administrative Services Technician learns and then applies procedural, program, and compliance knowledge; assumes ongoing, technical responsibilities specific to assigned areas, such as risk management and record management; works with departments and outside agencies to coordinate assigned programs, projects, and services; and performs research and routine analysis on a wide variety of special projects.

The Administrative Services Technician also supports the general administration of the District office, such as proofreading, filing, processing mail, answering the telephone, providing front counter customer service, maintaining calendars, organizing office storage, and setting up and breaking down the Board Room for meetings and events.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate has experience in either of two backgrounds. The first is a background in providing journey-level clerical or technical support in the public or private sector that included interpreting and explaining complex rules and regulations, researching information, and preparing accurate documents and reports. Alternatively, the second is a background in providing advanced office support that included data entry and the processing of forms and records.

In addition to one of these two backgrounds, the ideal candidate is curious and enjoys learning about new systems and functions at a technical level. They appreciate when careful precision and accuracy is necessary to complete a task. The idea candidate is open to helping with functions and tasks that they are not familiar with and will seek out resources and guidance to better understand the function and complete the task accurately. They are also proactive in identifying needs, developing and recommending solutions, and ensuring the solution is fully implemented.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience: A combination of training and experience that demonstrates that a person has obtained the required knowledge and is able to perform the essential duties of the position. A person with the following combined training and experience would typically qualify to compete in a selection process:

• Equivalent to graduation from high school and four (4) years of increasingly responsible journey-level clerical or technical support experience which included responsibility for interpreting and explaining complex rules and regulations, researching information, and preparing accurate documents and reports, or advanced office support work that included data entry and the processing of forms and records.
• Equivalent to an associate degree from an accredited educational institution and two (2) years of journey-level clerical or technical support experience which included responsibility for interpreting and explaining complex rules and regulations, researching information, and preparing accurate documents and reports, or advanced office support work that included data entry and the processing of forms and records.

Other Requirements:

• Valid California motor vehicle driver's license and good driving record
• Eligibility to work in the United States under appropriate federal regulations.

Parks, Recreation, and Neighborhood Services department (PRNS) is recruiting to fill a Community Services Supervisor position in the BeautifySJ Program. The BeautifySJ Program is a blight reduction, community beautification and encampment management program within the Community Services Division. The position will report to a Program Manager.

The BeautifySJ Unit is currently looking for a manager to join our dynamic team. This manager will lead a team of full-time staff to coordinate blight reduction efforts, which may include encampment management programs. The position will be housed at the Kirk Community Center (home of BeautifySJ), and will have a hybrid work schedule which includes working in at the site and when necessary, field visits. The position works 40 hours per week with a typical schedule of Monday?Friday, 7:30am?4:30pm but will vary depending on activities and events and will require evening or weekend work.

BeautifySJ Initiative is a dynamic initiative that works to reduce blight and beautify the City via an inter-departmental strategy that coordinates and leverages resources to address blight issues. The Community Services Supervisor would work collaboratively with staff in PRNS, Housing, the Environmental Services Department, Code Enforcement, the Department of Transportation and interjurisdictional partners.

Job duties for the position include but are not limited to:

• Supervising a staff of professional community coordinators, community activity workers and maintenance workers that coordinate and lead blight reduction and beautification programs and projects in the field.
• Manage and coordinate the delivery of services as outlined in established partnership agreements.
• Have the ability to quickly form relationships with internal City Departments and external partners to meet established goals and outcomes.
• Performing important and difficult public contact and liaison work with stakeholders, external partners, and Council Offices.

The City of Belmont is looking for an experienced professional for the position of Budget Manager. Under general direction of the Finance Director, the Budget Manager administers a variety of complex and professional budget and financial support functions within the Finance Department, including preparation and execution of all budgets, reports, accounting records, financial forecasts. This classification is responsible for the development, maintenance, and operation of the City's Annual Budget; providing financial information and analysis to aid in executive management decision making; performs the highest level of complex budget analysis and has frequent interaction with staff and leaders of other City departments. We are seeking a dynamic and energetic individual to join the City of Live Oak as a Part-Time Recreation Leader. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and leading recreational activities for community members of all ages. The ideal candidate will have a passion for promoting physical activity, creativity, and teamwork in a fun and safe environment.

Part-Time: Up to 20 hours a week 

Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute recreational programs and activities, such as sports, arts and crafts, games, and special events.

The Principal Accountant will be responsible for leadership and oversight of fiscal management functions for San José Clean Energy (SJCE). The incumbent in this position will lead the Department's fiscal/accounting team and oversee all fiscal management activities for SJCE, including but not limited to the following:

• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and business processes to comply with generally accepted accounting principles and satisfy the financial management requirements associated with long-term power purchase agreements;
• Lead the development of SJCE standalone audited basic financial statements and SJCE financial statements in the City's Annual Comprehensive Financial Report;
• Prepare quarterly financial statements (unaudited);
• Facilitate external auditor inquiries for standalone financials, City Annual Comprehensive Financial Report, and Agreed-Upon Procedure engagements;

• Analyze the impact of GASB pronouncements on SJCE's financial statements and develop accounting practices to satisfy GASB pronouncements;

Qualifications

Ideal Candidate Service Office Assistants will have a minimum of one year of general clerical, office assistant, phone services, or computer experience. At least one election cycles worth of experience in Candidate Filing is preferred as well.
 
Critical Skills include the ability to prioritize work, coordinate several activities organize, and maintain accurate files and records, and understand and carry out oral and written directions. As an Office Assistant it is also integral to have a positive attitude and demonstrate good leadership to assist other members of the team and help ensure day to day operations run smoothly.
 
Office hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. These positions may require weekend and evening work assignments. The selected individuals must be available for the entire employment period until the completion of their assignment.
