Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District is seeking an organized and self-motivated professional to fill our newly-created Senior Grants and Procurement Technician position. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about open space preservation and has support experience related to grants and procurement or contracts. We are looking for an independent worker with strong writing and editing capabilities, who is detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines while managing multiple competing priorities.

This is a front counter position and will have significant public interface in person and over the phone.
DEFINITION: To perform a wide variety of responsible clerical and secretarial work in support of assigned mid-management and supervisory staff; to type and proofread a variety of documents and correspondence; to provide information and assistance to the public regarding applicable policies and procedures; and to perform a variety of secretarial tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.
The Administrative Technician will be assigned to perform a wide range of clerical planning and front counter receptionist duties. As the primary clerical support for the Planning Department, the incumbent will work with staff and contract planners to process permits; serve as cashier; coordinate the production of the monthly Planning Commission meeting packet(s); manage all departmental files; and assist the public with land use process and procedural questions.
