The San José Public Library is seeking new Librarians to join our team and change the lives of those we serve! The District has an exciting position developed in partnership with Facebook. This position works closely with the District’s Emergency Services Manager and is primarily embedded at Facebook, serving as the District’s onsite liaison. The actual salary will be determined by the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience. In addition to the starting salary, employees in the Deputy Fire Chief classification shall also receive an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation pay.
Under general supervision, plans, organizes, oversees, coordinates, and manages the operations of the City Clerk’s Office, including administration, election management, the legislative function, archiving of public records and public information, and filing officer services; manages the effective use of department resources to improve organizational productivity and customer service; provides complex and responsible support to the City Manager in areas of expertise; and performs related duties as assigned.
Under general direction, the Planning Manager performs a variety of management and complex planning functions which includes, but is not limited to, supervision of the Planning Division staff; management of complex land use projects and plans and related tasks; presentations before the City Council, Planning Commission and other City commissions, committees and community groups; serving as a member of the City’s Management Team and performing related tasks as required.
