The position of Administrative Analyst is a fully qualified journey-level professional classification. Administrative Analyst is distinguished from Management Analyst in that the Management Analyst has a higher level of managerial, budgetary and program administration responsibility. Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, planning, and management of the campus-wide cable plant and IT physical infrastructure to support the Airport improvements, airlines, and tenants, addressing both current & future needs.
• Provide a comprehensive understanding of technology offerings, implementation constraints, and costing. Ability to propose technology recommendations and solutions by providing a solid and complete justification for each solution.
• Assess the voice and data needs of the Airport, develop Airport technical standards, determine where the cable infrastructure should be installed, and oversee the installation.
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert and liaison to Airport divisions, airlines, and tenants for requests, requirements, RFP/Qs, and new construction projects as required.
• Manage stakeholder engagement acting as Point of Contact (PoC) for project activities, conducting project reviews, identifying and escalating project issues, briefing on proposed technology, organizing and conducting vendor site visits, and fostering collaborative working relationships.
• Possess a strong understanding of, and working experience with, Project Management practices and tools.
• Ability to understand your audience, negotiate with stakeholders, and clearly understand the requirements and scope.
• Coordinate project schedules, including participation in meetings, documentation, and tracking action items to ensure successful completion.
• Oversee the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contract. Participate in the negotiation of contracts & contract changes, review Statements of Work (SOWs)/Work Orders to understand commitment and expectations.
• Data Center Management of the Airport's mission critical on-site Data Centers, Main Distribution Frames (MDFs), Intermediate Distribution Frames (IDFs), and Minimum Points of Entry (MPOEs). Responsibilities include operational and capacity planning, physical security management, and setting policy on best practice use of the facility.

Highly Desirable Qualifications:

• Possess a BICSI RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) certification.
• Be an Outside/Inside Plant specialist. Airport experience preferred.
• Ability to determine the scope, cost, and time for existing and new OSP/ISP projects that are moderate to complex in a matrix environment.
• Outside/Inside plant construction and project management experience and inventory management experience.
• Familiarity with data center industry standards, building codes, and safety standards.
• Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of fiber optic engineering principles with OSP job-related functional areas to include general best practices, procedures, and industry standards.
• 5 years or more experiences working in mission critical environments (e.g., airports, utilities, telecommunications carriers, etc.) requiring coordination across multi-disciplines for delivering a common goal.
• 5+ years mission critical Data Center operations experience.
• 5+ years' Telecom industry experience.
• 5+ years' experience with Outside Plant cabling (OSP) & Inside Plant cabling (ISP), structured cabling systems.
• Experience coordinating with GIS teams to ensure as-builts are reflected in existing mapping tools.
• Experience working with GIS teams to document all fiber paths, terminations, and splices for all cabling projects.

Salary Information:
The actual salary shall be determined by the final candidate's qualifications and experience. The below salary ranges include an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable pay.

Provide complex and advanced technical assistance in support of managing and implementing Valley Water’s cyber security systems on the Enterprise network and SCADA/ Industrial Control System/ Operational Technology network. Monitor cyber security logs, respond to cyber security incidents, plan design, and implement a variety of complex cyber security systems assists with determining hardware and software systems requirements and specifications; performs a variety of complex technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.
 
Serves as the technical lead on the design and implementation of Valley Water’s most complex and highly integrated Cyber Security systems involving new, unfamiliar, or emerging technologies; to perform the most complex professional level duties in the development, installation, coding, integration, documentation, testing, and maintenance of Cyber Security controls and systems; and to perform a variety of tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Cyber Security: monitor and maintain security on infrastructure systems including IT security applications and appliances. Example: Microsoft security patching, updating appliance firmware, maintaining Cyber Security definitions, monitoring Anti-Spam solution, monitoring Cyber Security appliances, and recommending modifications to existing Cyber Security hardware, software, and overall security stance. Manages and monitors vulnerability scanning tools and makes recommendations to remediate identified Cyber Security vulnerabilities. The City of Patterson is seeking to fill one (1) part-time vacancy for a Facility Attendant in the Recreation Department and to establish an eligibility list.

Duties include, but are not limited to: under direct supervision, performs a variety of facility related tasks to ensure effective operations at the Recreation and Community Services Complex and related facilities and parks. Prepares facilities for use; works with users during events; provides set-up and arrangements for classes, meetings, and public and private events; registers participants for recreational programs; assists with cleaning and maintaining of Community Services' facilities including removing and disposing of trash, sweeping, and mopping of floors.  Provides staff support for recreation events and programs. 

This is a part-time position with hours up to 19 hours per week.  Must be available to work nights and weekends with varying shifts and schedules.

The Parks & Recreation Department supports a vibrant, active quality of life for all ages, abilities, and interests of the Santa Clara community through excellent parks and recreational facilities, community services, programs, and events. The Parks Division provides planning, development, operation, maintenance, and rehabilitation of City parks and open spaces. The Recreation Division provides classes and programs for all ages and abilities. The Position: 
An incumbent in this classification is responsible for the safe operation of an assigned swimming pool, including supervising pool personnel, overseeing conduct of pool events, ensuring  collection and security of revenue, and attendant record keeping.  Candidates must be able to serve a variety of ages, abilities and needs in participants from diverse backgrounds with tact and professionalism.
 
As an as-needed employee, this is an "at-will" position and there is no guarantee of hours. Hours are limited to 999 in a fiscal year or 960 hours in a fiscal year for retired CalPERS annuitants.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

The City of Brisbane will be sponsoring up to four summer internships this year.  Our internships are project-oriented and designed to give college students a good general overview of future employment opportunities and current issues in the Public Sector.  You will have the opportunity for exposure to various areas of City Administration during your internship and to network with fellow interns and participate in professional development activities in San Mateo County and/or Santa Clara County.

Projects for 2024 include:

• Communications – Assist with developing innovative and relevant content for posting on City-administered social media sites, research and work with departments in developing articles for publication on the City’s website and print newsletter, and assist with aspects of video production including storyboarding, camera work, and script-writing.

• IT – Have some familiarity with programs such as Windows, Active Directory, Office/Microsoft 365. Must be able to disassemble and reassemble a PC. Projects will consist of adding and editing AD and email accounts and sorting and organizing hardware components. Some daily tasks will include responding to help desk requests and making basic equipment repairs and replacements.

• Human Resources - Offering learning opportunities by following a full recruitment and onboarding process. Assist with website updating; maintaining employee records; the conversion of physical records/forms to electronic format; and conducting research and analysis on HR-related topics.

• Public Works (Utilities) – Provide support to the City's Public Works Department - Utilities Division with various engineering projects in drinking water distribution, water resources, sanitary sewer collection, and storm drainage. Primary assignment will focus on mapping and geolocating drinking water facilities to comply with new state regulatory compliance.  Secondary assignments may include field engineering support on construction of capital utility projects and assisting on various engineering reports and studies.

Applicants must be college students currently enrolled in and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited college or university in a related field (e.g. public administration, public policy, business, planning, library science, environmental studies, engineering, sustainability). Undergraduate candidates must have a minimum of 48 semester units or equivalent completed.  Applicants should also be self-motivated, have excellent interpersonal skills, able to use Microsoft Office software, demonstrate good research ability and have the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. 

SALARY AND HOURS: The salary range for Interns is $20.00 per hour, 15-18 hours per week over a 12-week period.  The start date is flexible depending on the student’s availability.

The City of Orinda is looking for responsible, courteous individuals who enjoy working in a hands-on environment, can work independently of supervision and have experience dealing tactfully and effectively with members of the public.  The successful applicant will work on a part time basis with a schedule which will include evening and weekend hours, depending upon programs, rentals and events.   

The Facility Attendant performs custodial duties related to the care and cleaning of assigned facilities, performs a wide variety of duties for events, classes and programs, including setting up and tearing down of tables, chairs, equipment and supplies and will perform minor maintenance and repairs as needed.

EXAMPLES OF IMPORTANT AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Provide friendly and professional customer service by greeting Community Center visitors, serving as a main point of contact during activities and events primarily in evenings, weekends and special events.

Performs custodial duties at assigned facilities which include, but are not limited to cleaning, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, waxing, stripping and polishing floors; cleaning furniture, woodwork, fixtures, equipment, supplies, doors, windows, walls, walkways, driveways, and facility grounds; disposing of trash.

Set up all necessary equipment and furniture such as tables, chairs, podiums, and A/V equipment for indoor and/or outdoor events.

Inspects facilities and equipment, reports issues in a timely manner to appropriate higher-level staff; performs minor facility maintenance.

Explain and follow City and department policies and procedures.

Provide information and feedback to Facility and Parks Supervisor.

Opens, closes, secures and alarms facilities in compliance with standard procedures.

Supervise and interact with rental guests, responding by assisting with any facility needs.

Assists in monitoring and maintaining equipment and supplies.

May perform clean up duties as needed, including but not limited to:  move and arrange furniture and equipment, restroom cleaning, sweeping and mopping, and garbage pick-up and removal.

Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Prepare, maintain, update, and proofread records, logs, and reports.

Set up and use necessary equipment and cleaning supplies.

Deal tactfully and effectively with the members of the community.

Establish, maintain, and foster positive and harmonious working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Equivalent to a High School Diploma.

Experience:  Experience in custodial and facility operations is desirable.

License or Certificate: Possession of a valid California Driver’s License with a demonstrated history of safe driving.

Special Requirements:

Essential duties require the following physical skills and work environment:

Must be willing to work a scheduled variety of hours, which may include evenings, and/or weekends, as needed.

Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes to enable the employee to safely lift, move, climb, walk safely on even or uneven grounds, or maneuver in whatever way may be necessary to successfully perform the duties of their position; ability to travel to different sites and locations.

Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment medical exam.  Additionally, individuals working in Parks & Recreation are required to be tested for TB.
