The City of Rocklin is now accepting applications for an Information Technology Analyst for the IT Division to perform technology infrastructure maintenance, administration, and support.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, participating in the design of technology infrastructure solutions; configuring,  troubleshooting and performing maintenance on server and disk storage systems, routers, switches, and firewalls; performing monthly VDI base image updates and administering virtual desktop pools; administering the VMware vSphere environment and performing vCenter and ESXi host updates and upgrades as needed; administering Windows server infrastructure services including Active Directory, DNS, DFS, and DHCP; managing Active Directory users and groups, logon/logoff/startup/shutdown scripts, group policies, file shares and access permissions; performing basic Microsoft Exchange server administration tasks such as creating mailboxes, contacts, and distribution groups; administering print servers and multifunction print devices; and automating tasks and processes whenever possible through advanced scripting techniques and group policy management.

This is a journey level class with responsibility for the full range of technical and professional functions necessary to accomplish the tasks and duties in the assigned area with minimal direction or assistance.  The Information Technology Analyst reports to the Information Technology Manager or designee, and may provide technical direction or functional supervision over support staff as needed.

Distinguishing Characteristics:  The Library Clerk  is a part time permanent position with the St. Helena Public Library.  Under direction of the Adult Services Supervisor, this person will work such duties as checking books in/out, answering telephones, preparing library cards, and providing reference and readers advisory services. This person will understand and promote the variety of library services available.  Performs other related duties as required.  Hours may vary from 10-16 hours per week and are set at the time of appointment; may include day, night, and/or weekend hours.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Check books in and out; issues library cards.
• Answer telephones and provides information.
• Assist patrons and explains the use of computers as well as other related equipment and software available for general use.

What You’ll Do

The Senior Program Assistant performs a variety of complex clerical and technical functions in support of programs at the assigned facility; coordinates facility booking, scheduling and rental processes, assists in providing for the safety, maintenance and security of program participants, staff, equipment and facilities; acts as a liaison with program and managerial staff, community groups and program participants; directly participates in, and monitors the work of staff assigned to, the program registration process; processes transactions in support of department programs which entail: substantial interaction with interested parties; knowledge of procedures and policies; and the accounting for payables and monies received; provides information and assistance regarding department programs, policies and procedures to the general public, City personnel, vendors and contractors; processes forms, invoices and other documents in accordance with established procedures; and check for accuracy and completeness of entries, and for compliance with applicable City, statutory and other requirements; computes and receives fees in accordance with department schedules and procedures, record revenue received and provide for the deposit of monies; may provide lead direction to other support staff; enters data and information in the preparation of reports, correspondence, forms and other documents; performs a variety of general clerical duties, including: filing; billing; recording information in office records; photocopying; processing of mail; and answering telephones.

The Thousand Oaks Library is seeking customer-service oriented and collaborative part-time (hourly) Library Monitors to assist with a variety of tasks at the Library.    These positions are typically scheduled to work 15 hours per week, primarily afternoons, evenings and weekends and require working at both the Grant R. Brimhall and Newbury Park Branch locations.

Definition:  Under the supervision of the Recreation Director, Recreation Services Manager or Recreation Coordinator, develops and supervises a segment of recreation programs and may provide Recreation-related transportation services.    
                                                                              

Essential Duties:  Depending upon assignment, the duties of a Recreation Specialist include:

Under supervision of Recreation Department staff the Recreation Specialist plans, promotes, develops and supervises a portion of the recreation programs. Typical duties include: planning and implementing programs/special events, managing facilities/rentals (including setups), assisting in front office day-to-day operations, and assisting in youth/adult sports. Attend meetings, workshops, and other related duties as required. Possess the ability to communicate positively with the public, volunteers, and staff.

Special Requirements:  Possess adequate vision to supervise participants in recreation programs. Be able to speak clearly and understandably. Be able to bend, stoop or crouch and have enough physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds and assist clients. Hours may vary with evening and weekend hours required at times. 

Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to:  Work with Microsoft Office programs. Exercise independent judgment in performing job responsibilities. Supervise and direct volunteer and paid staff using positive communication skills. Organize and/or direct groups and individuals participating in senior, youth, and adult programs, and special events. Think and act quickly in emergencies. Work to maintain and help create an action oriented atmosphere with both the public and staff. Understand and carry out written and oral directions. Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with subordinates, peers, and supervisors. Practice basic recreation skills in a variety of areas.

Education:  The successful candidate should have equivalent to four years of education in an accredited university or college. One (1) year or more years of related work experience can be substituted for an equivalent amount of work experience. 

Experience:  Experience equivalent to two years of experience in recreation, transportation, education or a related field.

License:  Must possess and maintain a valid California Drivers’ License with a satisfactory driving record

Certificates:  Must possess a current First Aid and CPR Certificate. This requirement can be completed within the first month of hire.

The City of Sunnyvale seeks a Supervising Librarian for Children's and Teen Services at the Sunnyvale Public Library. Under general direction of the Superintendent of Libraries, the Supervising Librarian develops, implements and evaluates children and teen services to the public with a focus on community engagement and innovation. He or she provides strong leadership for children and teen services to deliver services, programs and resources in response to community needs. The Supervising Librarian manages a high-performing team of 5 full-time and 2 part-time librarians.

The Supervising Librarian position is in the Library division of the Department of Library and Community Services (LCS).
