San Mateo County Health's Aging and Adult Services Division is seeking qualified individuals for the position of Social Worker II (SW II) to provide a wide variety of services in such areas as information and referral, supportive services, protective services, out-of-home services, health related services, and other welfare within San Mateo County Health and the Human Services Agency.
 
The current vacancy is in the Enhanced Care Management (ECM) / Partners for Independence (PFI) Unit - Community Services (CS) that provides CS services coordination for adults who have complex medical and psychosocial needs and are at-risk for out of home placement.  ECM/PFI CS is a voluntary program that may be offered to San Mateo County residents who have Medi-CAL, who are aged and/or disabled with CalAIM CS needs.  
 
Distinguishing Characteristics
The Social Worker II screens applicants’ eligibility for CalAIM CS services. The SW II will travel throughout the County to conduct home visits to educate eligible clients regarding services, participate at Interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings, coordinate services to assist clients and to perform other duties of the position.

 The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Master's degree in Social Work.
• Excellent communication skills with seniors, cognitive and behavior challenged clients and their caregivers to develop an appropriate respite schedule for clients.
• Experience using comprehensive assessment tools to identify the needs of CalAIM CS applicants/participants. 
• Understanding of human development and behavior within diverse populations.
• Ability to independently develop and implement sound case plans of action.
• Experience balancing client-centered care coordination and the accompanying administrative documentation.
• Familiarity in implementing program regulations.
• Superior organizational skills to manage a large caseload and related documents.
• Proficient computer skills to use several independent data base systems as well as Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to quickly learn and adopt new technology, policies, and procedures.
• Excellent writing/documentation skills.
• Valid CA driver license is required.
• Fluency in other languages in addition to English is a plus 

Qualifications

Licensure/Certification:

• California class C driver license or equivalent.

Education: Satisfactory completion of 30 semester units of social welfare and/or appropriate behavioral science courses.

Experience: Two years experience performing duties comparable to those of a Social Worker I or higher in San Mateo County. Substitution: Possession of a Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited school of Social Work.

The Position

The Intergovernmental and Public Affairs Unit is responsible for managing the County's legislative programs in Sacramento and Washington DC. This includes developing the County's Legislative Session Program, initiating legislation, and monitoring State and Federal legislation and budget issues that affect the County. In addition, special projects of an intergovernmental nature are staffed by the unit, including grants.

The Legislative Analyst performs research on and provides interpretation, analysis, and coordination of Federal and State legislative matters impacting the County. POSITION

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The Woodland Public Library is seeking a team-orientated, enthusiastic, and forward-thinking Library Program Manager to provide oversight, development, and implementation of programs and services primarily related to adult services with general library support. Library Program Manager I: This is the entry level class in the professional library series. Assignments are generally limited in scope and within the design and procedural framework established by the Library Services Director. Library Program Manager II: This is the journey level class in the professional library series. Positions in this class are flexibly staffed and are normally filled by advancement from the lower class of Librarian Program Manager I, or when filled from the outside, require prior professional library work experience.  Appointment to the higher class requires that the employee be performing substantially the full range of duties for the class and meet the qualification standards for the class. Work in this class is distinguished from that of a Library Program Manager I by greater complexity of the assignments received and by greater independence with which an incumbent is expected to operate.

• Develops and interprets division policies.
• Coordinates program planning and service delivery for the division.
• Develops and conducts programs which reflect the guiding principles of the Library and public librarianship.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education
Library Program Manager I and II
Possession of a Master of Library Sciences Degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience

One (1) year experience supervising staff and/or developing/managing programs.

Library Program Manager II
A minimum of four (4) years' responsible experience in a professional librarian capacity, including one (1) year in a supervisory capacity and one (1) year of managing programs.

About the Position

The Public Works Maintenance Worker I is an entry-level classification in the Maintenance Worker series. THE DEPARTMENT & DIVISION
The Department of Public Works (DPW) is responsible for maintenance activities along approximately 92 miles of public right-of-way. It strives to improve, develop, and maintain public infrastructure essential to the safety, mobility, and quality of life for Orinda citizens. The DPW operates with an approximate annual operating budget of $5 million and has 17 staff members. The Department also administers a CIP budget of approximately $14 million. DPW’s organizational structure consists of two divisions: Engineering Services, and Maintenance & Facilities Services.

The Maintenance & Facilities Division is responsible for the repair and improvement of city-owned public infrastructures including stormwater drainage, roadway, traffic, and pavement, and for coordinating with vendors and contractors on large maintenance and landscaping projects. The Division operates with an approximate annual operating budget of $3.4 million. The Division’s recent reorganization now includes the integration of the maintenance operations of the Parks & Recreation Department, which covers the following buildings and parks:

• Four buildings: City Hall, Library, Community Center and Art  & Garden Center
• Corporation Yard

THE JOB
The Maintenance and Facilities Superintendent is responsible for ensuring that municipal buildings and public facilities are maintained to high standards, remaining safe and functional for employees and the public. The Superintendent will oversee a direct staff of two supervisors, up to eight indirect reports, and the Division’s annual budget. This role involves managing contract and project activities, including multi-year park and landscape maintenance contracts (currently with MCE corporation), multi-year janitorial services, facilities maintenance projects in the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and long-term maintenance and repair plans for city-owned buildings, streets, storm drain systems, parks, trees, and landscaping. The Superintendent will coordinate with City departments and external contractors; assess and prepare contract documents; participate in vendor selection; administer contracts and evaluate contractor performance; and review and approve billings. Responsibilities also include programming building maintenance, prioritizing tasks, managing safety trainings, coordinating emergency responses, and ensuring regulatory compliance, including adherence to ADA accessibility regulations. Under the direction of the Director of Public Works, the Superintendent will coordinate activities and operations to allocate resources effectively. They will thoughtfully balance daily operational tasks and long-term strategy, ensuring alignment with community needs and goals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Any combination equivalent to education and experience is likely to provide the required knowledge and abilities. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

• Experience: Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in building maintenance, facility management, construction management, public works operations or related activity including two (2) years of supervisory responsibility.
• Education: Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, public administration or a related field.
• Possession of a valid California Driver's license with a demonstrated history of safe driving.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE

This position will be designated as an emergency response worker and must be prepared to respond during weather emergencies or crises. They will be responsible for collaborating with other city departments and external agencies to address and mitigate emergency conditions.

The City of Dixon is looking to fill one full-time position for a Maintenance Worker I/II in the Public Works Department and to create an eligibility list for future use. This position performs a variety of semi-skilled tasks related to the maintenance and repair of the City's parks, buildings, streets, storm drain ponds and related facilities; to perform related duties as assigned.

Exam Process: A limited number of candidates whose applications indicate that they, among those competing, are better qualified in terms of related education, training and experience may participate in a written exam pass/fail and then in an interview process (weighted 100%). The most qualified candidates from this process will be placed on an employment eligibility list.
