8:30 AM - 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday (summers only)
2:30 PM - 6:15 PM, Monday through Friday (regular school year)
8:00 AM – 1:15 PM, Monday through Friday (modified due to COVID-19)

The Library Page position available is an hourly, non-benefited, temporary assignment which operates out of the Community Learning Center, a branch of the Library Department. The Community Learning Center (CLC) works with collaborative agencies to serve youth and families. In collaboration with other staff at the Community Learning Center, the Library Page, or Homework Club Assistant, will help with children’s activities and projects, in the belief that each child, youth and adult bring strength, talent, and skills to the learning process. The Homework Club operates five days a week and serves Title I schools in South San Francisco.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist 3rd to 5th graders in the completion of homework;
- Work as part of collaborative team to support goals of the HWC and the Community Learning Center;
- Assist with classroom management;
- Develop and implement fun, interactive games and educational activities;
- Co-lead classroom activities in the areas of math, reading, writing, and art;
- Support educational activities during Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math programming; and
- Use open communication and active listening with children and adults.
