ABOUT THE POSITION
The City of Gilroy is currently recruiting a full-time Senior Civil Engineer for our brand new recently implemented Utilities Department. In this exciting opportunity the Senior Civil Engineer is poised to play a significant role in designing, implementing, and optimizing utility systems to ensure reliability, efficiency, and sustainability. The Senior Civil Engineer will help establish utility engineering standards, protocols, and infrastructure as it relates to water and wastewater for the City of Gilroy. The Senior Civil Engineer will work under the direction of the Utilities Director and will manage, review, and perform duties relative to Utility Engineering and construction activities, supervise assigned employees, will direct and perform complex professional-level field and office engineering assignments, and play an important part in making a real-world difference in the community. A variety of Utility projects involve design, development, and construction of projects; therefore, exceptional project management skills are imperative to be successful in this role. Additionally, the Senior Civil Engineer will manage assigned staff and consultants and assist with budgeting tasks. Valley Water is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the Strategic Programs Administrator position within the Office of Integrated Water Management reporting to the Assistant Chief Executive Officer. The Strategic Programs Administrator serves as a strategic right-hand to the Assistant CEO helping to develop and maintain key agency-wide processes and procedures and oversee strategic projects and special initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of expertise in project management, financial analysis, and policy development. Overview:
The Associate Electrical Engineer will support the 24 x 7 continuous Water Utility raw, treated, and purified water operations, capital improvement projects, annual maintenance work plan, and asset management plans. They will be responsible for the planning, design, development, implementation, modification, installation, and maintenance of the Water Utility's critical electrical distribution systems in the area of water pumping, conveyance and treatment while ensuring work quality and adherence to professional codes, standards, and Valley Water specifications.
 
Raw water delivery operations depend on the reliable supply of electrical power for ensuring delivery of water-to-water treatment facilities, streams, and our customers. Water treatment and treated water delivery operations depend on the reliable supply of electrical power for ensuring delivery of safe, clean water to our customers in the Silicon Valley.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
As a member of the Utility Electrical and Control Systems Engineering team:

• Plan, organize, schedule, assign, review, supervise and evaluate the work of assigned staff.
• Serve as a technical resource in electrical engineering including formulating projects, assessing program effectiveness, and analyzing a variety of unusual conditions, problems, or questions; oversee quality assurance and quality control activities within field/specialty of engineering.
• Conduct engineering studies, investigations, and analyses, such as conditional assessments, feasibility reports, event incident/root cause analysis reports, and engineering evaluations in support of a planned project/improvement, system deficiencies, non-code compliant conditions, and electrical system and process anomalies.
• Prepare electrical engineering schematics, specifications, drawings, wiring diagrams, power, lighting, and floor plans, conduit and wire schedules, electrical details, and other supporting documentation for commercial and industrial applications; perform economic and financial analysis of projects; provide cost estimates and cost benefit analysis for comparison; review and comment on drawings, plans, and other work submitted by external consultants, engineers, contractors, and developers for conformance with current standards.
• Identify and report electrical deficiencies and safety issues; investigate and create root cause analysis from electrical system reports; interview operations and maintenance staff and conduct field observations and inspections; develop recommendations to mitigate electrical disturbances, outages, and abnormalities; lead or assist in resolving deficiencies and safety issues.
• May grow into a supervisory role to plan, organize, schedule, assign, review, supervise and evaluate the work of assigned staff.

• Strong academic background, with four (4) years of experience in planning, designing, developing, implementing, modifying, installing, and/or maintaining electrical power system projects. 
• Design, installation and troubleshooting experience in electrical power systems within an industrial plant/facilities environment.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (ABET accredited college/university). 
• Experience with a diverse set of projects, ranging from researching electrical and hardware components to troubleshooting and repairing existing electrical systems, is a plus.
• Experience in working with potential vendors with adequate information for bids working with potential vendors and evaluating bids preferred.

Ideal Skills and Abilities:

• Strong base of both technical and project skills, including ability to communicate in person and in writing and maintain positive and effective relationships in a team environment.
• Prepare and review electrical engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and other engineering project documentation.

• Conduct factory testing and field testing/startup of industrial electrical systems hardware and software.

• Troubleshooting and repairing existing electrical systems (both hardware and software).
• Leading, coordinating, and implementing full cycle electrical systems projects ensuring no disruption of mission critical operations.
• Collaborating with project teams to ensure that projects in planning, design, and construction phases are abiding by electrical systems standards.
• Developing technical policies and procedures and making recommendations for changes and improvements to existing standards and procedures.

Ideal Knowledge:

• Operations, services, and activities of an industrial electrical system including electronic and electrical systems in water production, treatment, and distribution.
• Principles and practices of electrical engineering design and installation.
• Knowledge of electrical standards (NFPA, NEC, NETA), electrical software tools (SKM, SPM/PME, SKF tester)

Ideal Training and Education:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in electrical engineering.

Tri-City Mental Health Authority is looking to one vacancy for the Bilingual Behavioral Health Specialist (BHS) for the Adult Outpatient Department to provide a variety of rehabilitative support services to clients to
facilitate behavior modification, skill building, and self-care and safety in individual and/or group
settings. The BHS will demonstrate and coach clients to promote and reinforce the use of effective coping
strategies and techniques based on individual needs and treatment plans; perform outreach and
provide linkages and referrals to a variety of behavioral health, community, and social services,

THE POSITION:

The City of San Rafael is recruiting for a Child Care Director.  Under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor, this position will perform responsible work in administering and managing a state-funded preschool program.  The incumbent in this position will independently oversee the program and staff at Pickleweed Preschool located in East San Rafael. 

This position performs the following essential job duties: 

• Assist with the establishment of the program budget
• Hire, train, and supervise staff
• Supervise timely completion of annual ECERS
• Supervise completion of DRDP assessments twice annually
• Supervise timely completion of parent surveys
• Supervise timely completion of two parent conferences annually
• Supervise timely ongoing child portfolios
• Supervise and implement systems for creating and maintaining regular written child observations
• Complete annual June 1st report to Department of Education
• Schedule staff and ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained
• Facilitate parent nights for families four times per year
• Liaison with parents and school districts
• Function as classroom instructor
• Approve Child Care Instructor II curriculum and plans
• Organize regular staff meetings
• Oversees referrals of children for assessment and special services

THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking for one individual to serve as a Medical Assistant for the Medication Support Team. The Medical Assistant performs a variety of routine to moderately difficult clerical, administrative, and technical duties in support of licensed medical professionals; takes vital signs, obtains complete client medical histories, and performs various support duties such as entering data and information into various databases and computer systems; and performs related duties as assigned.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Assists in the examination, treatment, and care of clients in an outpatient setting, according to instructions from licensed medical staff, Authority procedure, and scope of authority.

• Takes client vital signs, weight and height, and documents basic medical information obtained from client including medical and medication histories; reports any observed abnormalities or changes in client vitals to appropriate staff.

• Receives, logs, and stores oral, injectable, and sample medications; monitors inventory levels and expiration dates; discards of expired medications according to policy.

• Assists and observes clients self-dispense medication as prescribed by a  psychiatrist and administers scheduled injections.

• Conducts medication checks on clients to assess their overall medication management capabilities; takes appropriate action if client poses danger with respect to the use or abuse of medication; observes, evaluates, records, and reports to professional staff changes in client’s condition.

• Participates in interdisciplinary team treatment planning, staff training functions, utilization and peer review activities, and clinical supervision.
