The City of Sebastopol is seeking an engaging, inclusive, and talented leader well-versed in current and long-range planning, affordable housing, and development activities, administers housing and zoning codes, and serves as a liaison to the business community, including developing economic development strategies. Under administrative direction, the Community Development Director oversees all functions and activities of the Community Development Department. In addition, the Community Development Director may also oversee the building, inspection, and code enforcement functions of the City. 

This position coordinates Community Development Department activities with other City departments, officials, contractors, consultants, outside agencies, and the public to ensure cohesive and efficient development and planning processes. The Community Development Director reflects a demonstrative cultural competency working with all community members regardless of cultural differences or circumstances including race, ethnicity, religion, language, gender identity, age, marital and familial status, sexual orientation, diverse physical and learning abilities, socioeconomic status, and other identities. This position provides highly responsible and complex professional consult to the City Manager to advance the City's planning, housing, economic development, and building and development goals and objectives and may serve as the City Manager or Assistant City Manager in either manager’s absence or as assigned. Performs related duties as assigned.

This is an “at will” classification serving at the pleasure of and receiving administrative direction from the City Manager. This role's duties allow for a broad scope of independent decision-making within legal, policy, and regulatory guidelines. It involves exercising general direction and supervision over professional, technical, and administrative support staff.

The Department: 
 The Assistant City Clerk’s Office/City Manager’s Office is recruiting to fill a Deputy City Clerk. The Assistant City Clerk’s Office is organized under the City Clerk’s Office.  The Office of the Assistant City Clerk processes the agendas for and attends all meetings of the Council and Authorities Concurrent and Stadium Authority meetings, maintains accurate and up-to-date records of the proceedings of those meetings and makes those records open for public inspection. The Office of the Assistant City Clerk processes and maintains copies of City contracts, ordinances, resolutions and other official documents. The Office of the Assistant City Clerk manages and compiles City records in accordance with the Records Retention Schedule and in response to Public Records Act requests. The Office of the Assistant City Clerk administers campaign and disclosure laws, the Campaign Finance Ordinance, Regulation of Lobbying Activities program and the Calendars of Certain City Officials program. The Office of the Assistant City Clerk also administers oaths of affirmation pertaining to the affairs and business of the City and certifies copies of official records.
 
 The Position: 
 The Deputy City Clerk will report to the Assistant City Clerk and perform highly complex administrative and analytical work. This position will assist the Assistant City Clerk in the administration of the City Clerk's Office. The incumbent will assist in developing, implementing and coordinating projects, programs and procedures. This position is responsible for assisting with Public Record Act (PRA) requests and this position will also support projects and programs within the City Manager’s Office. Incumbents in this position will have considerable independence in making judgment related to their assignments and must handle situations with great sensitivity, tact and diplomacy. May supervise or act as lead worker to staff involved in management activities.  
 
As a member of the City's unclassified service, this is an "at-will" position. The incumbent serves at the discretion of the City Manager.

The annual salary range for this position is $119,994.36 - $155,300.16.  This position will be filled at or near the minimum of the salary range.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Any education or experience equivalent to:

• An Associate of Arts degree in Public Administration, Business Administration or closely related field; and
• Three (3) years of progressively responsible supervisory or lead administrative/management experience in a City Clerk's Office. 

• A Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or possession of a Certified Municipal Clerk certification or required within two (2) years of hire.

The position description:

Tri-City Mental Health Authority is looking to one vacancy for the Bilingual Behavioral Health Specialist (BHS) for the Adult Outpatient Department to provide a variety of rehabilitative support services to clients to
facilitate behavior modification, skill building, and self-care and safety in individual and/or group
settings. The BHS will demonstrate and coach clients to promote and reinforce the use of effective coping
strategies and techniques based on individual needs and treatment plans; perform outreach and
provide linkages and referrals to a variety of behavioral health, community, and social services,
resources, and systems of care.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Provides individual, group, family, and collateral rehabilitative support services to facilitate behavior modification including skill building, needs assessment, self-care/safety, and coping strategies and techniques; may provide case management services in the office and in the field.

• Develops, monitors, and evaluates client rehabilitative and case management goals and increases/decreases in targeted behavior according to client needs; monitors goal progress/regression.

• Provides linkages, resources, and referrals to address basic needs and other barriers to wellness and recovery including food, housing, clothing, transportation, and other financial resources.

• Encourages and supports clients to fully engage in services; provides outreach and assists clients in addressing and overcoming barriers to treatment.

• Plans and facilitates and/or co-facilitates group sessions for clients and community members focused on skill building; tracks client attendance and follows-up with individual clients, as necessary.

• Provides advocacy for clients to ensure inclusion in all aspects of the community including socialization, employment, education, and housing to meet client needs.

THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking for one individual to serve as a Medical Assistant for the Medication Support Team. The Medical Assistant performs a variety of routine to moderately difficult clerical, administrative, and technical duties in support of licensed medical professionals; takes vital signs, obtains complete client medical histories, and performs various support duties such as entering data and information into various databases and computer systems; and performs related duties as assigned.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Assists in the examination, treatment, and care of clients in an outpatient setting, according to instructions from licensed medical staff, Authority procedure, and scope of authority.

• Takes client vital signs, weight and height, and documents basic medical information obtained from client including medical and medication histories; reports any observed abnormalities or changes in client vitals to appropriate staff.

• Receives, logs, and stores oral, injectable, and sample medications; monitors inventory levels and expiration dates; discards of expired medications according to policy.

• Assists and observes clients self-dispense medication as prescribed by a  psychiatrist and administers scheduled injections.

• Conducts medication checks on clients to assess their overall medication management capabilities; takes appropriate action if client poses danger with respect to the use or abuse of medication; observes, evaluates, records, and reports to professional staff changes in client’s condition.

• Participates in interdisciplinary team treatment planning, staff training functions, utilization and peer review activities, and clinical supervision.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

The City of Berkeley invites applications for the position of Housing Inspector II (Certified)! In this role, you will perform skilled inspection work with City residential housing inspection programs. You will independently perform the full scope of work in the investigation, reporting and follow-up of housing deficiencies to gain compliance with housing, building, zoning, fire, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and related codes and regulations.

Assignments are varied and generally require close interaction with the public, providing information and interpretation of applicable ordinances, codes and regulations. We'll expect you to exercise considerable independence and discretion in conducting inspections, resolving complaints and enforcing inspection results.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A typical way of gaining the knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position is:

Equivalent to graduation from high school and at least two years of full-time experience equivalent to Housing Inspector or Building Inspector or Code Enforcement Inspector for a public agency. 

Must possess:

• An International Code Council (ICC) OR California (CA) certification in Residential Building or Housing Inspection or in Code Enforcement; and
• ICC or CA Residential or Commercial Electrical Inspector certification and ICC or CA Residential or Commercial Plumbing Inspector certification, or equivalent ICC or CA Legacy Certification for either Combination Inspector or Combination Dwelling Inspector.

Other requirements: Must be able to travel to various locations within and outside the City of Berkeley to meet the program needs and to fulfill the job responsibilities. When driving on City business, incumbent is required to maintain a valid California driver's license as well as a satisfactory driving record.

In addition to the qualifications above, the ideal candidate will have effective and courteous communication skills in order to discuss housing violations, violation remedy and necessary inspections and fees and participate in depositions and court hearings as requested. The Department

The Human Services Department (HSD) delivers and supports services by forging long-term community partnerships; engaging with and building the capacity of the community to do its own problem- solving; and leveraging financial and volunteer resources.  The Aging and Family Services Division (AFS) of HSD specifically supports older residents and their caregivers to live active, healthy lives in the Tri-City community.

The Position

As a member of the HSD assigned to the AFS, the Senior Program Coordinator will organize, coordinate, and implement community wellness programs for older adults.
