BACKGROUND: In service to the City of Fremont and the Tri-City community for over 35 years, the City of Fremont’s Human Services Department (HSD) provides services to youth, families, and seniors. During its tenure, HSD’s ability to build strong partnerships throughout Fremont’s diverse community has allowed it to become a trusted ally to residents who are most in need.
Under direct supervision, a Library Page is to sort, shelve, straighten, and relocate library materials on the shelves; pull library materials off shelves, and prepare the library for opening/closing procedures. The ability to quickly and accurately sort items alphabetically and numerically. This is an ideal job for someone who has good organizational skills, and able to work with others. A library page also provides basic directional information to library users.
The City of Salinas is accepting applications for Youth Program Assistant. These are temporary assignments with varied schedules that may work at any branch. Temporary employees may not exceed a maximum of 25 work hours per week or 1,000 work hours per fiscal year (fiscal year runs from July 1 – June 30).
Summary of Duties: Under general supervision performs routine duties to assist in community outreach programs and educational activities for youth and young adults.
The City of Redwood City is looking for energetic people interested in working approximately 5 -15 hours per week, Monday-Sunday, varying hours, performing children’s reference services, planning and presenting storytimes, organizing and conducting library programs, assisting with homework, shelving library materials, and supervising and monitoring youth customers in the main library or library branches.
