• Oversee the maintenance and repair of about 100 vehicles, including emergency response vehicles, and a variety of equipment (e.g., generators, trailers, boom trucks, compressors, wheel loaders, street sweepers, etc.).

• Diagnose mechanical tissues and perform or coordinate the necessary repairs to ensure vehicles are in optimal working condition and meet proper safety protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and ensure fleet readiness.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure parts and equipment.
• Oversee the upfitting process for first responder vehicles, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary tools and technology to support emergency operations.
• Support maintenance of the Department's asset management software to track vehicle and equipment maintenance schedules and inventory.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders, promptly responding to repair requests and informing them of maintenance progress. 
• Supervise a part-time mechanic.

The City is seeking a Division Manager to manage all services and activities in the Safety Division of the Human Resources Department. The Safety Manager will report to the Assistant Director of Human Resources and will be responsible for administering the City of San José's extensive safety program, which includes Worker's Compensation, Employee Health Services, Injury and Illness Prevention Programs, City Driving Program, Safety Show Voucher Program, and ergonomics. The Assistant Director and Division Manager will work closely to make recommendations to the City Manager based on their evaluation of all safety plans.

The Procurement Administrator II reports to a Procurement Administrator III in Contracts and Procurement and is responsible for preparing and processing Invitations for Bids (IFBs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs), and Purchase Orders (PO’s) for the procurement of goods, materials, equipment, professional services, and public works.

Essential Functions & Duties

• Manage all phases of the procurement process in compliance with applicable local, state and federal laws, rules, regulations, and policies governing public agency purchasing (e.g. California Labor Code, Prevailing Wage, and California Contract Code).
• Review solicitation requirements for reasonableness, recommend contract type, determine appropriate procurement strategy, and method of compensation.
• Develop terms and conditions and solicitation provisions.
• Lead contract negotiations to achieve best overall value for the agency. 
• Perform contract administration (e.g., administer contract amendments, prepare in-house memoranda, and correspond with vendors and legal staff).  

• Authorize award of contracts and approve purchases, contract amendments, and work directives consistent with District policy and procedures.
• Prepare and issue professional service agreement work directives. Negotiate and maintain rate agreements and any adjustments in mark-ups or indirect rates with consultants in coordination with project managers. 
• Maintain contract records that includes print and website advertising, leading pre-bid/proposal meetings, lead site walk-throughs, respond to requests for approved equals, address questions and requests for clarification, conduct public bid openings, analyze bids received, determine responsiveness and responsibility of apparent low bidders, check references and perform cost/price analyses. 
• Manage and perform contract activities using PeopleSoft. 
• Develop contract language by collaborating with subject matter experts from such areas as Risk Management, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), Labor Compliance, Project Management, Finance, Capital Grants, and Legal Counsel.
• Research and evaluate sole source procurement requests.
• Provide guidance to Project Managers on all aspects of the procurement solicitation and contracting process. This includes evaluating scope of work, identifying evaluation criteria, and developing timelines.
• Prepare written reports and contract award recommendations. 
• Provide guidance and administration on a wide variety of contracts. 
• Interface with government, and transit agencies.
• Perform all job duties and responsibilities in a safe manner to protect one’s self, fellow employees, and the public from injury or harm. Promote safety awareness and follow safety procedures in an effort to reduce or eliminate accidents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Sufficient experience, training and/or education to demonstrate the knowledge and ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. In lieu of a degree, work-related experience that demonstrates the skills and experience necessary to perform this role will be accepted. Development of the required knowledge and abilities is typically obtained through but not limited to:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
• Three (3) years relevant full-time professional-level experience with procurement and administration of equipment, material, maintenance, public works, and professional or other services-type contracts. 

• Experience in public agency purchasing is highly desired. 
• One or more of the following Professional procurement certifications is desired: 
• Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB), 
• Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO), 
• Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), or 
• Certified Professional Supply Management (CPSM).
• Construction Experience preferred
• Working knowledge of an Enterprise Resource Program (ERP) such as PeopleSoft, SAP, JD Edwards, and Oracle. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

About Detention Services & Yuba County:

Our Department believes people can change and we can be instrumental in supporting that change.  We are  a small workplace family that supports one another to accomplish our mission and allow our team members to live full lives outside the workplace. Our Campus provides youth detention services to the communities of Yuba, Sutter, and Colusa Counties as well as several contract counties through our Camp Singer program.  We operate 24 hours a day, 365 days per year, and includes the Tri-County Juvenile Hall, Secure Housing Unit, and Maxine Singer Youth Guidance Center (Camp Singer), under a Joint Powers Agreement between the three counties. Our Department is the administrative agency responsible for the management and daily operation of the facility. The Property Manager I salary range is $84,084.00 - $102,276.72 annually.

The City of Marysville is seeking qualified candidates for the position of a Human Resources Manager, Assistant to the City Manager and City Clerk; this recruitment will fill 1 vacancy and create an eligible list.

The Director of Finance supervises, oversees and manages the activities and operations of the Finance Department including financial reporting, general accounting, purchasing, warehousing and inventory control; budget preparation, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, debt administration, revenue management, administration of invested funds and performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications – Demonstrated Knowledge and Performance in the Following Areas

• Principles and practices of financial analysis.
• Principles and practices of public agency finance, including general and governmental accounting, auditing, and reporting functions.
• Fundamentals of investment management, monitoring of assets, and required reporting.
• Cash flow management and financial projections for planning and decision-making.
• Advanced accounting and financial reporting systems.
• Advanced principles and practices of public agency budget development and administration and sound financial management policies and procedures;
• Principles and practices of effective management and supervision including planning, organizing, reviewing work, and training and evaluating staff.
• Computer applications related to accounting, budgeting, and fiscal management.
• Principles, practices, and trends of public and business administration.
• Applicable Federal, State, local, and district laws rules, regulatory codes, ordinances, and procedures relevant to the assigned area of responsibility;
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Experience in the water utility industry is a plus
• Knowledge of California water utility regulations and laws is a plus

Education, Training and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in finance, accounting, or auditing preferably in governmental/ municipal agency
