Salary Information
The salary range for Maintenance Worker II is $64,604.80- $78,582.40.
Actual salary shall be determined by the final candidates' qualifications and experience.The Department of Public Works is seeking to fill a Maintenance Worker I position in the HVAC Shop located at the Central Service Yard within the Facilities Management Division. The Maintenance Worker I will support the basic preventative maintenance of the air conditioning work group. This position reports directly to the Air Conditioning Supervisor for various daily assignments. Working under immediate supervision and working with HVAC Staff and/or independently in mechanical rooms and on rooftops would be a regular occurrence.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

• Performs preventive maintenance functions on Exhaust Fans, HVAC Package units and Air Handlers.
• Clean HVAC Cooling Towers and Mechanical Rooms.
• Install V-belts on HVAC Equipment.
• Uses general carpentry, mechanical and hand tools such as power saws, hand saws, drills, pliers, wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, ladders and other tools and equipment.
• Installs air filters in various types of air conditioning equipment.
• Cleans aluminum finned condenser and evaporator coils.
• Performs minor semi-skilled carpentry and plumbing repair work.
• Maintains database records of their daily work with the Departments inventory management system.

This position may require working some weekends and/or holidays. Ability to perform the essential functions of this position will be determined by a post-offer medical examination conducted by City of San Jose Employee Health Services.

The HVAC SHOP maintains all City-Wide Facilities, including Police Buildings. The San Jose Police Department requires all civilians working at their facilities pass a background check and obtain a Civilian Police Badge. The City of Berkeley invites you to apply for the position of Associate Planner! In this role, you will have the opportunity to perform professional planning work in the Land Use Division of the Planning Department or the Transportation Division of the Public Works Department.

In the Land Use Division, the Associate Planner performs a variety of professional activities in support of the City's planning services. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A typical way of gaining the knowledge, skills, and abilities for this classification is:

Equivalent to graduation from a four year college with major coursework in city, regional, or urban planning or a closely related field and two (2) years of professional planning experience. THE POSITION: The San Mateo Public Library has an opening for 2 per diem Librarian I positions with regular schedules (schedules listed below). This recruitment will also be used to fill on call per diem Librarian openings. On call per diem librarians in this role do not have a regular schedule but pick up shifts on an as-needed basis to fill coverage gaps on the Library’s service desks at the Main Library (adult and children’s desks) and branches.

What You’ll Do

Under the general direction of the City Clerk, the Deputy City Clerk uses independent judgement to plan, organize, direct, and perform a variety of complex administrative, technical, and supervisory duties in support of the City Clerk Department’s day-to-day operations, primarily legislative operations and contract and process management. The Deputy City Clerk serves as the second in command within the City Clerk’s Department and provides backup to the City Clerk.  The Deputy City Clerk will provide a high level of administrative and technical support to the City Clerk and other departments and perform all duties of the City Clerk in his/her absence. Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assists the City Clerk in performing the day to day functions of the City Clerk's office; and in the absence of the City Clerk, act as City Clerk, performing such duties as serving as the Clerk of the City Council, maintaining meeting protocols, parliamentary procedures and proper conduct, writing agenda reports, taking minutes, certifying ordinances, resolutions, agreements and other official documents, administer oaths of office and supervise staff.

• Implements and manages the agenda production process including maintaining a deep knowledge of the agenda management software and process; training staff in the use of the software and process; and assists in deploying consistent agenda practices across the organization; coordinating with other departments on agenda content; enforcing work product standards and holding departments and higher classifications responsible for meeting standards and deadlines; and producing the agenda and agenda packet per state law and city requirements.
• Manages the publication of legal and public notices, for all Council bodies, in accordance with City, State and Federal law, and filing, indexing, certifying, processing for recordation, and safeguarding of all City Council proceedings.
• Maintains compliance with applicable Federal, State, local laws, relating to areas of responsibility, including but not limited to, California Elections Coe, the Brown Act, Political Reform Act, Conflict of Interest Code, and the Public Records Act.
• Oversees maintenance and development of City-wide records management initiatives.
• Assists the City Clerk in the administration and conduct of municipal elections and special events. Serves as Filing Officer for campaign and conflict of interest finance reporting.
• Serves as liaison to the County Registrar of Voters.

We have exciting internship opportunities available at the City of Millbrae’s Public Works Department.  The Public Works Department is looking to hire two (2) interns for the Engineering Division. This is an open-ended internship without a specific term.
