Under general supervision of the Senior Automotive Equipment Specialist, typical duties of the Communications Installer include installing 2-way radios into a variety of vehicles, including but not limited to Police vehicles and motorcycles, Fire department apparatus and other city department vehicles.

Installations are to be industry accepted best practices including the selection of proper wire sizing based on electrical loading, equipment placement with emphasis on serviceability, proper wire routing, proper power distribution, antenna placement, and grounding/power return.

The Communications Installer will also be responsible for the installation of intercom systems, emergency/warning lighting, vehicle electronics, computer equipment and terminals, antennas, and custom installations of non-standard equipment. This equipment is commonly used in emergency vehicles and municipal equipment.

About the Communication Division

The Communications Division implements environmental-specific media, outreach, and marketing activities to support the health of our community and environment. The communication services division includes strategic communications planning, multi-cultural community engagement, media relations, social media, collateral development, and website management.The Environmental Service Department is recruiting for a Senior Public Information Representative within the department's Communications Division. The City of Patterson is seeking to fill one (1) part-time vacancy for a Facility Attendant in the Recreation Department and to establish an eligibility list.

Duties include, but are not limited to: under direct supervision, performs a variety of facility related tasks to ensure effective operations at the Recreation and Community Services Complex and related facilities and parks. THE POSITION:

THE POSITION:

The City of San Rafael is recruiting for a Child Care Director.  Under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor, this position will perform responsible work in administering and managing a state-funded preschool program.  The incumbent in this position will independently oversee the program and staff at Pickleweed Preschool located in East San Rafael. 

This position performs the following essential job duties: 

• Assist with the establishment of the program budget
• Hire, train, and supervise staff
• Supervise timely completion of annual ECERS
• Supervise completion of DRDP assessments twice annually
• Supervise timely completion of parent surveys
• Supervise timely completion of two parent conferences annually
• Supervise timely ongoing child portfolios
• Supervise and implement systems for creating and maintaining regular written child observations
• Complete annual June 1st report to Department of Education
• Schedule staff and ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained
• Facilitate parent nights for families four times per year
• Liaison with parents and school districts
• Function as classroom instructor
• Approve Child Care Instructor II curriculum and plans

• Oversees referrals of children for assessment and special services
• Complete annual written evaluations of all staff

To be eligible for this position you must have knowledge/skill of:

THE JOB
