DEFINITION: Plan, organize and execute personal curriculum for elementary age children for a one hour onsite outdoor enrichment program. Program hours could include Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 2pm – 4pm and Wednesday 1:15pm – 3:15pm, preparation hours can be discussed.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

• Demonstrate excellent customer service and communicate effectively with schools, parents, and children.
• Possess strong leadership skills in their chosen area of expertise
• Create and implement your own curriculum within an allocated budget
• Manage the task of checking in and checking out each child to the proper guardian.
• Encourage good behavior and appropriate manners.
• Encourage active participation and provide a safe and nurturing environment.
• Implement and lead appropriate activities for elementary aged children.
• Supervise and ensure the safety of the children during enrichment.
• Motivate participants through example.
• Create and maintain a positive after school environment.
• Accurately maintain attendance records.
• Practice proper hygiene, with self and children, to deter the spread of disease (colds, flu, etc).
• Render first aid in case of minor injuries.
• Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
• The ability to speak English clearly and understandably.
• Perform related duties as required.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs

TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: Any combination of education, training, and experience, which likely provides the required knowledge and abilities.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS: Candidates receiving a conditional job offer must pass a pre-placement fingerprint review. Candidates must possess a current CPR/AED and First Aid certificate and be comfortable calling 911 in an emergency.

The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for the position of Public Health Nurse Intern/Public Health Nurse in the Health and Human Services Department. This position provides the full range of public health nursing services including teaching, health assessment, and counseling services in homes, clinics, schools and community centers in connection with the prevention and control of diseases and adverse health conditions. Public Health Nurses are assigned to specific programs such as Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health, California Children’s Services, Child Health and Disability Prevention, Foster Care and communicable disease control. Performs related work as assigned.

Public Health Nurse Intern: is a recruiting and training level class established to qualify candidates for duties as a PHN in Yuba County Health & Human Services Department. Under close supervision, incumbents learn and perform a variety of public health nursing duties in assigned program areas while pursuing a Public Health Nurse Certification. Upon satisfactory completion of the PHN Certification, the PHN Intern are eligible for promotion to the level of PHN. Incumbents who do not successfully complete the PHN certification as prescribed herein may be released from employment.

Public Health Nurse: is the entry level in this class series. Initially under close supervision, incumbents learn and perform a variety of public health nursing duties in assigned program areas. As experience is gained, assignments become more complex and are performed under more general supervision.

The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for the position of Registered Nurse in the Public Health Division within the Health and Human Services Department. Under general direction, the Registered Nurse promotes general health in the community through education and outreach; performs a range of nursing tasks such as specimen collection and processing; administering medication/injections, diagnostic skin tests and immunizations; completes appropriate paperwork such as logs, reports, and forms; coordinates the patient’s medical care with private physicians, public facilities and other health centers; reviews laboratory results; assists in monitoring quality assurance, infection control and safety activities; participates in COVID-19 response activities including testing and other activities; administration of general nursing care, including general health screenings; provision of quality nursing care to both adult and pediatric patients in a variety of settings in conjunction with or under the direction of the Public Health Officer. DEFINITION: Under general supervision the aide assists in planning, organizing, and implementing preschool programming for children ages 3-5 years old. Program hours are M-F PM 8:30am – 1:00pm and/or MWF 8:30am - 1:00pm. Approximately 15 – 30 hours a week. Substitute and floating positions also available 8:30am - 1:00pm.

This is a NEW program within the Marysville Fire Department.  The Marysville Fire Department is hiring continuously for twelve (12) Firefighter Reserves.  These positions will be funded for four (4) years through the SAFER Grant.  

For each 24 hour shift worked, you will receive $60 for food and mileage, that will be paid monthly in accordance with the City of Marysville's established pay schedule.
