THE POSITION
The Dixon Police Department is opening two positions for a Police Recruit to attend the Police Academy in July of 2024. The “Police Recruit” classification at the City of Dixon Police Department provides a unique opportunity for candidates to be sponsored through a P.O.S.T. certified basic academy during regular academy hours and any other scheduled departmental and academy exercise and activities. Upon successfully completing the academy, Police Recruits shall be advanced to Police Officers and immediately begin the field training program to prepare them to function as solo officers.
Facility Maintenance Worker I / Intern (20471318)
POSITION
To perform a variety of tasks in the maintenance of City-owned buildings, equipment and facilities. The purpose of this recruitment is to fill a current temporary/part-time vacancy in our Community Services Department and to create a list for future vacancies.
Candidates who do not currently meet the minimum qualifications for the Facilities Maintenance Worker I position may be considered for an Intern position instead.
The City of Woodland Police Department is looking for candidates who possess a current California POST Basic Academy Certificate or are currently enrolled in a California POST basic police academy. Police Officer positions with the City of Woodland are filled from an eligibility list.
