The City of Sebastopol is seeking an engaging, inclusive, and talented leader well-versed in current and long-range planning, affordable housing, and development activities, administers housing and zoning codes, and serves as a liaison to the business community, including developing economic development strategies. Under administrative direction, the Community Development Director oversees all functions and activities of the Community Development Department. In addition, the Community Development Director may also oversee the building, inspection, and code enforcement functions of the City. 

This position coordinates Community Development Department activities with other City departments, officials, contractors, consultants, outside agencies, and the public to ensure cohesive and efficient development and planning processes. The Community Development Director reflects a demonstrative cultural competency working with all community members regardless of cultural differences or circumstances including race, ethnicity, religion, language, gender identity, age, marital and familial status, sexual orientation, diverse physical and learning abilities, socioeconomic status, and other identities. This position provides highly responsible and complex professional consult to the City Manager to advance the City's planning, housing, economic development, and building and development goals and objectives and may serve as the City Manager or Assistant City Manager in either manager’s absence or as assigned. Performs related duties as assigned.

This is an “at will” classification serving at the pleasure of and receiving administrative direction from the City Manager. This role's duties allow for a broad scope of independent decision-making within legal, policy, and regulatory guidelines. It involves exercising general direction and supervision over professional, technical, and administrative support staff.

The Department: 
 The Assistant City Clerk’s Office/City Manager’s Office is recruiting to fill a Deputy City Clerk. The Assistant City Clerk’s Office is organized under the City Clerk’s Office.  The Office of the Assistant City Clerk processes the agendas for and attends all meetings of the Council and Authorities Concurrent and Stadium Authority meetings, maintains accurate and up-to-date records of the proceedings of those meetings and makes those records open for public inspection. The Office of the Assistant City Clerk processes and maintains copies of City contracts, ordinances, resolutions and other official documents. The Office of the Assistant City Clerk manages and compiles City records in accordance with the Records Retention Schedule and in response to Public Records Act requests. The Office of the Assistant City Clerk administers campaign and disclosure laws, the Campaign Finance Ordinance, Regulation of Lobbying Activities program and the Calendars of Certain City Officials program. The Office of the Assistant City Clerk also administers oaths of affirmation pertaining to the affairs and business of the City and certifies copies of official records.
 
 The Position: 
 The Deputy City Clerk will report to the Assistant City Clerk and perform highly complex administrative and analytical work. This position will assist the Assistant City Clerk in the administration of the City Clerk's Office. The incumbent will assist in developing, implementing and coordinating projects, programs and procedures. This position is responsible for assisting with Public Record Act (PRA) requests and this position will also support projects and programs within the City Manager’s Office. Incumbents in this position will have considerable independence in making judgment related to their assignments and must handle situations with great sensitivity, tact and diplomacy. May supervise or act as lead worker to staff involved in management activities.  
 
As a member of the City's unclassified service, this is an "at-will" position. The incumbent serves at the discretion of the City Manager.

The annual salary range for this position is $119,994.36 - $155,300.16.  This position will be filled at or near the minimum of the salary range.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Any education or experience equivalent to:

• An Associate of Arts degree in Public Administration, Business Administration or closely related field; and
• Three (3) years of progressively responsible supervisory or lead administrative/management experience in a City Clerk's Office. 

• A Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or possession of a Certified Municipal Clerk certification or required within two (2) years of hire.

The position description:

Tri-City Mental Health Authority is looking to one vacancy for the Bilingual Behavioral Health Specialist (BHS) for the Adult Outpatient Department to provide a variety of rehabilitative support services to clients to
facilitate behavior modification, skill building, and self-care and safety in individual and/or group
settings. The BHS will demonstrate and coach clients to promote and reinforce the use of effective coping
strategies and techniques based on individual needs and treatment plans; perform outreach and
provide linkages and referrals to a variety of behavioral health, community, and social services,
resources, and systems of care.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Provides individual, group, family, and collateral rehabilitative support services to facilitate behavior modification including skill building, needs assessment, self-care/safety, and coping strategies and techniques; may provide case management services in the office and in the field.

THE POSITION:

The City of San Rafael is recruiting for a Child Care Director.  Under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor, this position will perform responsible work in administering and managing a state-funded preschool program.  The incumbent in this position will independently oversee the program and staff at Pickleweed Preschool located in East San Rafael. 

This position performs the following essential job duties: 

• Assist with the establishment of the program budget
• Hire, train, and supervise staff
• Supervise timely completion of annual ECERS
• Supervise completion of DRDP assessments twice annually
• Supervise timely completion of parent surveys
• Supervise timely completion of two parent conferences annually
• Supervise timely ongoing child portfolios
• Supervise and implement systems for creating and maintaining regular written child observations
• Complete annual June 1st report to Department of Education
• Schedule staff and ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained
• Facilitate parent nights for families four times per year
• Liaison with parents and school districts
• Function as classroom instructor
• Approve Child Care Instructor II curriculum and plans
• Organize regular staff meetings
• Oversees referrals of children for assessment and special services
• Complete annual written evaluations of all staff
• Perform other duties as required.

To be eligible for this position you must have knowledge/skill of:

• Possession of California Driver’s License preferred.

THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking for one individual to serve as a Medical Assistant for the Medication Support Team. The Medical Assistant performs a variety of routine to moderately difficult clerical, administrative, and technical duties in support of licensed medical professionals; takes vital signs, obtains complete client medical histories, and performs various support duties such as entering data and information into various databases and computer systems; and performs related duties as assigned.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Assists in the examination, treatment, and care of clients in an outpatient setting, according to instructions from licensed medical staff, Authority procedure, and scope of authority.

• Takes client vital signs, weight and height, and documents basic medical information obtained from client including medical and medication histories; reports any observed abnormalities or changes in client vitals to appropriate staff.

• Receives, logs, and stores oral, injectable, and sample medications; monitors inventory levels and expiration dates; discards of expired medications according to policy.

• Assists and observes clients self-dispense medication as prescribed by a  psychiatrist and administers scheduled injections.

• Conducts medication checks on clients to assess their overall medication management capabilities; takes appropriate action if client poses danger with respect to the use or abuse of medication; observes, evaluates, records, and reports to professional staff changes in client’s condition.

• Participates in interdisciplinary team treatment planning, staff training functions, utilization and peer review activities, and clinical supervision.

The City of Thousand Oaks is seeking a Purchasing Supervisor to join our team!

We are seeking a collaborative and results-oriented Purchasing Supervisor with excellent communication, strong technical experience, and effective leadership skills to join our Finance Department team. The Purchasing Supervisor manages the Purchasing and Municipal Services Center (MSC) warehouse functions for the City. With an emphasis on customer service, this position ensures material and service requirements are met in a timely, efficient, effective, and ethical manner. The ideal Purchasing Supervisor candidate is a flexible and enthusiastic individual who can develop, mentor, and build relationships with team members and across the various departments they serve. The Purchasing Supervisor guides a team of six staff members located at three different City facilities.

The Purchasing Supervisor provides technical support, information, and assistance for purchasing materials, supplies, and services to all City Departments. The successful candidate will interpret, explain, and diplomatically enforce compliance with City procurement policies and procedures and all Federal and State rules and regulations. This position works closely with the Public Works Department and the Finance Department’s Accounting and Information Technology Divisions. These cross-functional teams work collaboratively to improve processes and procedures for efficient vendor management and payments, ensuring effective internal controls are implemented, monitored, and audited.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provides leadership and works with staff to ensure a high-performance, customer service-oriented work environment that supports achieving the department’s and the City’s mission, objectives, and values.
• Supervises and participates in developing, implementing, and evaluating plans, work processes, systems, and procedures to achieve annual goals, objectives, and work standards.
• Participates in the selection of Purchasing and warehouse staff; provides or coordinates staff training; works with employees to correct deficiencies; conducts staff meetings as necessary.
• Establishes schedules and methods for providing Purchasing and warehouse services; identifies resource needs; reviews needs with appropriate management staff; allocates resources accordingly.
• Plans, organizes, and supervises the City’s purchasing operations; reviews, monitors, and approves City purchases; approves purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and related documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with purchasing and budgetary policies and procedures; ensures effective inventory control and issuance of equipment and supplies.
• Trains other departmental staff on purchasing rules and regulations, meeting with division managers, and one-on-one meetings; conducts procedural research when new issues arise and need to be researched, evaluated, and implemented.
• Administers formal and informal bidding and Request for Proposal (RFP) processes; assists departments with preparation and review of RFP and bid documents; ensures development of a competitive product specification; ensures all federal, state, and local laws are met; evaluates bids against specifications and per City code, laws, and established policy.
• Oversees and administers the City’s Cal Card Program; opens and closes accounts; conducts training sessions for new cardholders; monitors payments of invoices and types of purchases; audits cardholder statements; reviews vendor activity reports quarterly to determine if better pricing could be obtained through competitive bidding; prepares reports for Finance Director regarding card use.
• Oversees, monitors, and utilizes the purchasing website to solicit bids and review vendor activity; evaluates the vendor list to ensure integrity and accuracy of list; ensures all active vendors are registered; maintains solicitation to keep all data current.
• Oversees and manages vendor information and payment system entry including W9 processes and procedures.
• Oversees the activities for the MSC warehouse including the effective management of inventory and annual inventory count process.
• Maintains and updates a variety of manuals including purchasing manual and Cal Card administrative manual.
• Maintains current knowledge of new trends and innovations in the fields of purchasing and inventory management; attends and participates in professional group meetings; participates in professional development activities.
