The Deputy City Manager of Development Services, aside from managing and directing the Engineering, Community Development, Building and Safety, and Public Works Departments; also represents the City in relations with the community, advisory committees, local, state, and federal agencies, and professional organizations; acts as the liaison for departments working with local and state agencies on administrative matters. The Deputy City Clerk shall be responsible for and perform all functions necessary for the efficient operation and maintenance of Records Management and the full services of the Department of the City Clerk, except for those mandatory duties performed by the elected City Clerk as stated in FMC section 2-292 and 2-293; to provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to the City Council and the City Manager. This position receives administrative supervision from a Deputy City Manager.
