THE POSITION / JOB DUTIES
The Police Public Service Assistant I (PSA I) is assigned to the Police Department’s Animal Services Unit and provides basic care for animals. Examples of job duties include:
· Provide care of animals including feeding, grooming, cleaning, walking, behavioral assessments, enrichment, and exercise.
· Clean, disinfect, and maintain kennels and kennel area.
· Perform dishwashing and laundering.
· Help maintains a computerized record of animals at the shelter.

The District has one open, full-time position of Engineering Technician in the Records Section of the Environmental and Engineering Services Division. The actual salary will be determined by the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience. In addition to the starting salary, employees in the Deputy Fire Chief classification shall also receive an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation pay.
Under general supervision, plans, organizes, oversees, coordinates, and manages the operations of the City Clerk’s Office, including administration, election management, the legislative function, archiving of public records and public information, and filing officer services; manages the effective use of department resources to improve organizational productivity and customer service; provides complex and responsible support to the City Manager in areas of expertise; and performs related duties as assigned.
