Provides continuous leadership in carrying out the program mission, as amended from time to time, including:
• Maintains records and prepares daily reports related to work performed.
• Compile information for agenda preparation; collect background information; assemble agenda for printing; distribute packets to City Council and various agencies.
• Prepare and distribute updates and revisions of Council Policy and those of city boards, commissions, and committees.
• Respond to inquiries from the public by letter, telephone and in person regarding Council action and records; research information for public or city staff when necessary.
• Maintain administrative files including historical legal documents, resolutions, ordinances, agreements, deeds and annexations.
• Serve as custodian of the city seal and city archivist for official records.
• Process all municipal elections to County Elections Office and maintain election files for all municipal/special elections; receive initiatives and process accordingly.
• Maintain list of commissions and boards; receive applications for membership on boards and commission; publish notices for vacancies; process applications for Council selection; notify applicants of results.

• Serve as financial disclosure officer for Fair Political Practices Commission for campaign disclosure forms and statement of economic interest.
• Represent the department to outside agencies and organizations; participate in outside community and professional groups and committees; provide technical assistance as necessary.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, other city employees and the public using principles of good customer service.
• Process Worker’s Compensation Claims and coordinate other confidential HR-related activities.

How You Will Make an Impact:

The Santa Clara County Housing Authority (SCCHA) is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to provide highly complex professional work in the planning, management and oversight of construction and rehabilitation projects and programs. The Asset Management Division, along with the Real Estate Development Division, are part of SCCHA’s Real Estate Department.  The team working in Real Estate is mission oriented, dynamic and collaborative. The team works closely together to creatively develop new affordable housing as well as preserve existing assets.

This position requires extensive knowledge of construction management and/or rehabilitation of affordable housing properties, development and monitoring of public project budgets, procurement and solicitation methods and professional service and contract administration in regulations, principles, practices, methods, and procedures of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), tax-exempt bonds, Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and other affordable housing funding programs.

What Our Team Is Looking For: 

Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience likely to provide the required core competencies may be considered. A typical combination that is qualifying may include: 

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in community or real estate development, construction management, business or public administration or related field; and 
• A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in management of commercial or public construction, rehabilitation, and retrofit activities including two (2) years in a supervisory or management capacity.
• Credentials in the following may substitute combination of education and/or experience: registration as a Certified Construction Manager (CCM); possession of a Certificate of Registration as an Architect by the California Architectural Board or as a Professional Engineer by the State Board for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors; and a valid Construction Manager (CCM) credential by the Construction Manager Certification Institute (CMCI).

Possession of a valid California Driver's License and satisfactory driving record at the time of appointment is required as a condition of initial and continued employment only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than the employee's ability to get to/from various work locations in a timely manner, is necessary to perform the essential functions of the position. 

The City of Saratoga is currently recruiting to fill a full-time Accounting Technician position within the Administrative Services Department. The incumbent will report to the Finance Manager.

The Accounting Technician, under general supervision, performs journey-level technical and administrative account support duties associated with preparing, maintaining, and processing accounts receivable and accounts payable records and transactions. The incumbent’s duties include reconciling accounts and ledgers, preparing financial reports, batch runs and wire transfers, tracking and maintaining manual and computerized accounting and financial records, establishing and updating vendor records, and performing related duties as assigned. MAINTENANCE WORKER (Full time)

Working in the Public Works Department, the Maintenance Worker I/II will perform a variety of unskilled, semiskilled and skilled light and heavy duty construction, maintenance and repair work involving public works, sewer and drainage systems, buildings, parking meters, and other facilities.

SALARY RANGE:

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:

Maintenance Worker I:  This is the entry level class in the maintenance worker series. Positions in this class normally perform a variety of unskilled and semi‑skilled maintenance tasks. Although trucks and other motorized equipment may be operated by a Maintenance Worker I, the equipment is used on a training basis or for tasks which are repetitious in nature. Under this training concept, positions assigned to the class of Maintenance Worker II which become vacant may reasonably be filled at the Maintenance Worker I level, with the understanding that reassignment to the Maintenance Worker II class may be expected following successful job performance and personal development.

Maintenance Worker II: This is the journey level in the maintenance worker series. Positions assigned to this class are expected to perform semi‑skilled and skilled public works maintenance activities and to operate light and moderately heavy power‑driven equipment on a continuing basis. All positions allocated to this class require that an incumbent be able to work independently, exercising judgment and initiative to fulfill assigned tasks. WORKING CONDITIONS
Position is required to work on the Community Center campus and may not work from home. The position also requires grasping, repetitive hand movement and fine coordination when using a computer keyboard. Additionally, the position requires near and far vision when reading and using a computer. Acute hearing is required when providing phone and personal service. The need to lift, push and pull files, paper and documents weighing up to 25 pounds also is required. The position will work on several priority initiatives, make recommendations, and develop action plans for meeting the Mayor’s policy objectives. Responsibilities for the position may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Attends meetings and community events with the Mayor, requires availability on evenings and weekends. 
• Analyzes a wide variety of materials on assigned projects, programs, and topics. 
• Responds to constituent inquiries and issues, resolves complaints, and interprets operating policies for residents of the community and other interested parties. 
• Attends and represents the Mayor at City-related meetings and activities, meeting with governmental agencies, private industry, and related meetings. 
• Conducts public meetings and events on behalf of the Mayor and/or prepare summaries of public and private meetings, reports, memoranda, and other documents for review by the Mayor. 
• Provides support in community engagement efforts with neighborhood, district or city-wide business or community groups or associations and other interested parties regarding community concerns, issues, and priorities. 
• Performs other duties of a similar nature or level as required. 

Employees in this classification are not members of the classified civil service and appointment would be on a contract “at-will” basis and is for a specified period of time to be determined by the appointing Councilmember and does not extend past the end of the elected official's or appointing authority's term. Candidates must be willing to work evenings and weekends on occasion, and as exempt management employees, are not eligible for overtime compensation. This unclassified position requires a disclosure of outside investments, real property interest, income and business positions.
