In the Transportation Division of the Public Works Department, incumbents are responsible for: Assisting with research, planning, conceptual design, and delivery of transportation and parking projects; drafting public notification materials, assisting with organizing and/or attending outreach events, and conducting in-person outreach; producing maps and graphics for transportation projects and parking operations; assisting with the City's coordination and monitoring of privately-operated shared mobility programs, including bicycle sharing and scooter sharing; assisting with preparation of transportation plans and policy documents, including the Pedestrian Master Plan Update, transportation impact analysis guidelines, and Complete Streets Policy implementation guidelines; and supporting the ongoing operation of the City's demand-based parking pricing program (goBerkeley), including conducting periodic data collection, analyzing data in Excel and GIS, and assisting with preparation of parking policy documents.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Job Description

This position performs preventive, routine and emergency maintenance and repair of a variety of heavy and light industrial and marine equipment, related systems and components. The incumbent will operate precision equipment and respond to trouble calls associated with the Port's ferry terminal systems, boats, sewer pumps and other Port related equipment. The nature of this work requires sustained physical effort frequently under adverse weather conditions and/or working in confined spaces. The incumbent may be required to work alternative shifts in order to do tide-dependent work.

Nature of Work: Some positions may involve exposure to adverse physical and working condition and lifting objects weighing in excess of 70 pounds. Incumbents will be required to work varying hours and/or shifts, including weekends, evening and holidays in a 24 hour/7 days-a week operation.

This department is seeking to fill one (1) full-time Power Resources Specialist I/II position to support the Power Resources Division.

The Power Resources Specialist I/II position reports to a Principal Power Resources Specialist in the Power Resources Division. This position is part of an exciting, fast-paced team responsible for procuring hundreds of megawatts of renewable energy projects.

• Supports the preparation, issuing, and evaluation of solicitations related to Energy, Resource Adequacy and Renewable Energy Credits.

The City of San José - San José Mineta International Airport is currently recruiting for Senior Airport Operations Specialist for the Airport Operations Division. Typical duties and responsibilities include the following:

Airside Operations:

• Respond to emergencies, distressed or disabled aircraft, hazardous materials spills, wildlife or other airfield accidents or incidents

• May perform airfield inspections and other operations duties in support of airside.

• Coordinates cleanup efforts, prepares detailed informational and operational reports related to safety/security incidents, injuries and accidents.

• Use vehicle to patrol the airfield to inspect and observe aircraft, tenants, perimeter fences, gates to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and act to correct deficiencies.

Terminal Management / Customer Service:

• Coordinate common use resources (gates, remote parking, ticket counters, bag belts) to maintain safe, efficient day to day operations.

• Enforces proper procedures for Airport's Access Control System to prevent unauthorized and/or unescorted access to the Air Operations Area (AOA)

Airport Operations Center:

• Monitors the Airport's CCTV, Access Control, Fire Monitoring System, Building Management and Baggage Handling Systems. Coordinates appropriate responses.

• Monitors and utilizes all Airport and public safety radio frequencies.

• Performs passenger paging and other customer service functions throughout the facilities.

• Coordinates internal Airport/Tenant communications via radio, telephone etc.

In addition, the Senior Airport Operations Specialist will be required to multi-task and utilize various computer programs within each section of Airport Operations including Access Control System, Resource and Gate Management systems, Internet Protocol Television (IPTV). The Senior Airport Operations Specialists will also be expected to manage multiple phone lines and radio channels to coordinate airport activities within the AOC and perform a variety of general clerical duties such as: filing, preparation of records, forms, and other pertinent documents.

Other duties the Senior Airport Operations Specialist may be assigned include but are not limited to; compiles data, prepares reports, completes necessary and required forms and oversees recordkeeping to provide top-notch customer service to business stakeholders and the traveling public. The Maintenance Worker I will support the basic preventative maintenance of the air conditioning work group. This position reports directly to the Air Conditioning Supervisor for various daily assignments. Working under immediate supervision and working with HVAC Staff and/or independently in mechanical rooms and on rooftops would be a regular occurrence.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

• Performs preventive maintenance functions on Exhaust Fans, HVAC Package units and Air Handlers.
• Clean HVAC Cooling Towers and Mechanical Rooms.
• Install V-belts on HVAC Equipment.

In the Land Use Division, the Associate Planner performs a variety of professional activities in support of the City's planning services. This Division administers zoning regulations, reviews development projects and assists the community in its efforts to plan for the City's physical, cultural, environmental, and socio-economic future. If current planning activities are assigned, work will include data collection, provision of information to the public at the zoning counter, processing development applications, and environmental review. The Yuba County Probation is currently recruiting for the position of Deputy Probation Officer I/II.  Under general supervision, Deputy Probation Officers perform a variety of professional adult and juvenile probation duties related to case management, field monitoring and investigation, probation supervision, mediation, intake and other programs; coordinates probation activities with those of the Superior Court; ensures compliance with court ordered probation conditions through counseling; coordinates community resources to assist probationers to successfully complete the terms of probation; and performs related work as required. About Yuba County Probation Services:

The principal mandated tasks accomplished by Adult and Juvenile Probation Services are the preparation of investigative reports and sentencing recommendations for the Courts on criminal, diversion and probation actions, and the supervision of adult and at risk youth granted formal probation. Probation Officers also supervise clients released on Post Release Community Supervision and pursuant to Section 1170(h) of the Penal Code. Probation manages a variety of specialized adult and youth program elements. The Vehicle and Equipment Services Section maintains, inspects, services and repairs County motor vehicles including buses, trucks, equipment, Sheriff's vehicles and motor pool vehicles. Automotive Service Workers perform a variety of semi-skilled automotive maintenance tasks which include the full range of lubrication and minor repair services, as well as performing routine service-related duties such as pumping gas, changing oil, etc.

Equipment Service Workers perform a variety of semi-skilled maintenance and repair work on road construction equipment and vehicles which includes the full range of lubrication and basic repair services for construction equipment and a full range of repair and maintenance work for small equipment such as chain saws and landscaping equipment.

In addition to the knowledge, skills and abilities required for this position, the Ideal Candidate will have:

WR MECHANIC II - $7,621.28 - $9,249.76 MONTHLY

Water Resources Mechanics perform a wide range of tasks involving mechanical maintenance and repairs of pumps, plumbing systems, electric motors, compressors, piping, boilers, underground infrastructure, facilities and buildings, carpentry, HVAC systems, mechanical drives, gear boxes, blowers, collectors, belt filter presses, and chemical feed systems. The work is done at the Water Reclamation Plant, located at 101 West Jack London Boulevard in Livermore.

A Water Resources Mechanic I performs a range of tasks requiring journey level mechanical ability and aptitude. Work assignments are performed according to established rules and procedures. Independent judgment is required and is supported at regular intervals by supervisory review and direction. A Water Resources Mechanic II is distinguished from the WR Mechanic I by the possession of advanced journey level mechanical ability and aptitude and is responsible for solving more difficult technical problems.
