Under general supervision of the Public Works Director and or the Public Works Lead, this classification works primarily in the Public Works Department and performs a variety of duties essential to the maintenance of the City.

Initially under close supervision, incumbents learn, assist and perform a variety of semi-skilled maintenance, construction and repair work on County facilities as well as learn County and departmental policies and procedures. As experience is gained assignments become more complex and are performed under more general supervision.
