The Maintenance Division provides many of the basic services that affect the daily lives of everyone who lives, works, visits and commutes within the City. The Maintenance Division provides support to all City departments and provides service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to address emergencies during non-working hours. The Maintenance Division is responsible for the following five programs; Trees, Parks, Streets, Fleet and Water. The Maintenance Division is located in the City's Corporation Yard.
To perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks in the construction, maintenance, and repair of water lines, sewers, storm drains, and pump stations. The purpose of this recruitment is to fill a current vacancy in the Sanitary Sewer/Storm Drainage Systems Division, as well as establish an eligibility list for future vacancies. Initial position and salary of the selected candidate will be based on previous work experience and valid licenses/certificates.
The Crossing Guard position is a temporary position, approximately five hours per day, two hours in the morning and three hours in the afternoon, Monday through Friday. Crossing Guards work a school year (September thru June). Applicants must be able to work outdoors, have reliable transportation or ability to report to assignment consistently.
