The Department: 

The City of Santa Clara is looking to fill multiple As-Needed- Temporary Employee positions to support the Annual Cleanup Campaign. Successful incumbents will be assigned to work as ground crews shoving, sweeping, and lifting up to 50lbs of debris left by Santa Clara residents.

The Position: 

In this temporary employment opportunity, you will gain valuable experience working with the public and demonstrate teamwork amongst your peers as you become part of a dedicated crew.

A mandatory paid orientation is tentatively scheduled for April, 2026, where employees will receive training, safety boots, and the necessary equipment to perform the job. This position will work from 6:45am-4:15pm, 40-45 hours a week, Monday-Friday between April 27, 2026 - May 22, 2026. 

As an as-needed employee, this is an "at-will" position and there is no guarantee of hours. Hours are limited to 999 in a fiscal year or 960 hours in a fiscal year for retired CalPERS annuitants.

THE POSITION

DEFINITION

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

Street, Sewer & Downtown Division

Essential Duties:

Works with the following crews: Sign and Paint Crew; Paving Crew; Pothole Crew; Service Repair Crew; Pump Station Maintenance and Repair Crew; Sweeper Pile Crew; Sewer Rodder Crew and Hydro Jet Crew. Assists in laying pipe and sewer lines; sweeps and cleans roadsides, gutters, curbs, culverts, catch basins and other drainage structures; removes debris and undergrowth; assists in setting forms and mixing and pouring concrete; assists in raking, smoothing and tamping repaired patches; assists in the maintenance of mechanical equipment; assists in the layout of traffic patterns on streets and in the operation of painting equipment; cleans mechanical equipment and basic tools used on the job. Assists in maneuvering and driving hydro-jet truck and other equipment associated with this operation. Assists in preventative maintenance and unblocking of sewers using mechanical and hydro-jetting.

Water Division

Essential Duties:

Assists in laying pipe and water lines; assists in making taps and connections to mains; assists in the maintenance of mechanical equipment; cleans mechanical equipment and maintains basic tools used on the job.

DESCRIPTION

Primary Responsibilities:

The Deputy Probation Officer I/II/III position in the Probation Department will investigate cases of juvenile delinquency or dependency and adult applicants for probation; supervise and counsel juveniles and adults on probation; prepares reports and recommendations for court. Provides professional casework services to adult and juvenile offenders involving the referral, supervision and rehabilitation of juveniles and adults on probation; and provides advocacy and related services to victims of crimes. San Mateo County Health is seeking a well-qualified individual for the position of Psychologist II-Youth Case Management-Behavioral Health & Recovery Services to provide professional diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative psychological services in a County program.

The current vacancy is on the Youth Case Management Team within Behavioral Health and Recovery Services Division (BHRS) located in San Mateo, but some travel throughout the County will be required to perform duties of the position.

As part of the Youth Case Management (YCM) team, the Psychologist reviews clinical information data for clients placed in higher levels of care to ensure it aligns with medical necessity criteria and authorization guidelines for youth with mental health, eating disorder, and/or co-occurring substance use diagnoses; works with provider staff, community agencies, clients, and families to coordinate effective clinical care: facilitates referrals for youth transitioning from Psychiatric Inpatient or Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES) settings to higher levels of care, including Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), and Residential Treatment Programs.

Key responsibilities include tracking and monitoring referrals and outcomes, providing consultation to PES staff for youth presenting with acute mental health symptoms, conducting psychological evaluations as needed, consulting with providers to ensure client compliance with treatment recommendations, support and enhance co-occurring efforts of the division, and engaging in regular outreach to develop and maintain relationships with external psychiatric facilities and community partners.

The ideal candidate will have:

• California License in Clinical Psychology.
• Two years clinical experience with children.
• Experience providing assessment and treatment of children with serious emotional disorders and working with their families.
• Experience providing psychological testing, diagnosis, written evaluations and recommendations for children with serious emotional disorders.

Glenn County is recruiting an individual to fill a full time position in the Public Works Agency. The Public Works Maintenance Worker I/II/III position performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled labor in the construction, maintenance and repair of County roads, bridges, and other related structures, and in various traffic control maintenance and  repair activities of the Public Works Agency; operates a variety of construction, maintenance and transportation equipment as necessary to complete daily tasks at the Glenn County Public Works Agency. • Respond to maintenance service requests from departments and address public concerns related to facility upkeep
• Collaborate with outside contractors when required
• Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and supply needs
• Participate in on call duties during critical incidents or major events when assigned
• Maintain pool and spa operations including safe chemical handling, equipment care, and minor part replacement
• Perform minor repairs on kitchen equipment including refrigerators, freezers, stoves, and similar appliances
• Perform other related duties as assigned
