The Event Security Operations Manager (SM3) plays a vital senior role in the management of security, medical response and emergency contingency plans for events occurring on the Stanford campus. The SM3 will provide guidance, negotiate with, influence and support university leaders on matters of safety and security that have a campus-wide impact. The SM3 will be responsible establishing security plans and ensuring medical response plans are in place for the 300+ planned events that occur on campus each year including procuring and scheduling security and supplemental medical personnel to staff events. The San Mateo County Controller's Office is seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of Controller's Division Manager for the Finance & Administration Division.

The person hired for this position will manage the Finance & Administration Division and provide staff support, financial guidance, administration, and leadership within the Controller's Office.

Examples Of Duties

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinate, review, and submit Countywide SB90 State Mandates claims to the State Controller's Office.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration or a related field.

Experience: Three years of increasingly responsible experience performing a wide variety of administrative, financial, or managerial duties in a large, complex public agency including at least one year of direct experience managing and/or supervising an accounting or auditing function related to assigned division.

About the Position

The Public Works Maintenance Worker I is an entry-level classification in the Maintenance Worker series. Assigned duties in this classification are routine tasks requiring no experience or limited experience. Employees at this level perform a limited range of duties under immediate supervision in accordance with established guidelines and procedures and are not expected to perform with the same independence of supervision and judgment on matters related to Town guidelines and procedures as Level II/III.

Employees at this level receive immediate supervision from a manager designated by the City Manager and functional supervision from higher level Maintenance Workers. Incumbents may provide limited direction to less experienced employees in this classification or to seasonal workers.

Accountant I

This is the entry-level classification in the Accountant Series. Positions at this level usually perform most of the duties required of the positions at the II level, but are not expected to function at the same skill level and usually exercise less independent discretion and judgment in matters related to work procedures and methods. Work is usually supervised while in progress and fits an established structure or pattern. Exceptions or changes in procedures are explained in detail as they arise.

Accountant II

This is the full journey-level classification in the series. Positions at this level are distinguished from the I-level by the performance of the full range of duties as assigned, working independently, and exercising judgment and initiative. Positions at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit. Successful performance of the work requires thorough knowledge of governmental accounting practices and procedures, fund accounting, and fiscal management.

The positions in the Accountant class series are flexibly staffed. Accountant I positions have the opportunity to advance to the Accountant II level, subject to management approval and the employee’s ability to (i) perform the full range of duties assigned to the Accountant II level, and (ii) acquire the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to meet the minimum qualifications for the Accountant II level of the series.

The City of Dixon is looking to fill one full-time position for a Maintenance Worker I/II in the Public Works Department and to create an eligibility list for future use. DEFINITION

PC/LAN Technician I: Under supervision, performs skilled technical work on the City’s Personal Computers and Local Area Network, and network servers, including hardware, software and peripherals, and performs other duties as assigned.

PC/LAN Technician II: Under general supervision, performs complex technical work on the City’s Personal Computers and Local Area Network, and networks servers, including hardware, software, and peripherals, may supervise the work of lower level staff, and perform other duties as assigned. Positions in this class require frequent use of a high degree of independent judgment and interpretative ability. Duties do not always follow standard routines; the employee recommends changes in methods and procedures when necessary. The class is required to have operating knowledge of computer systems and greater overall experience.

Positions in the PC/LAN Technician II classification are flexibly staffed and normally filled from advancement from the PC/LAN Technician I class, or when filled from the outside, require specific technology experience. Appointment to this class requires the employee to be performing substantially the full range of PC/LAN Technician duties and to meet the qualifications for the class. The class requires the ability to work independently exercising judgment and initiative and a greater knowledge of the City’s computer systems.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

Analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems and peripherals; provides end- user support for hardware and desktop applications; assists end-users in understanding personal computer functions and software application features; installs, replaces, and upgrades personal computer hardware, software and peripherals; may assist in developing and presenting training programs for end users; provides day-to-day support and maintenance of the City’s phone system.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of: Microsoft Office automation applications and operating systems; network infrastructure devices such as hubs, routers, and switches; TCP/IP and other network protocols; antivirus and other security precautions; PC hardware/software troubleshooting and resolution; network security; system backup and recovery techniques; file system management; hardware setup and configuration.

Ability to: Apply industry-standard techniques for servicing personal computers, including installation, upgrade, and replacement of hardware, software, and peripherals; lift and move computers and related equipment safely; interact positively and cooperate with co-workers, respond politely to customers, work as a team member, function under demanding time pressure, respond in a positive manner to supervision, and attend work and perform duties on a regular and consistent basis.

Experience:

PC/LAN Technician I: A minimum of one year of full-time experience in maintenance of personal computers.

PC/LAN Technician II: Three years of full-time experience in maintenance of personal computers.

Education:

PC/LAN Technician I: Graduation from high school or equivalent.

PC/LAN Technician II: Graduation from high school or equivalent.  An Associate Degree or vocational training in Computer Science or a related field, and/or an A+ Certification is desirable.

License: Possession of a valid Class C California Driver’s License.
