• Experience implementing or establishing a Project Management Office (PMO) or set of project management standards across an organization.

The Position

The Intergovernmental and Public Affairs Unit is responsible for managing the County's legislative programs in Sacramento and Washington DC. This includes developing the County's Legislative Session Program, initiating legislation, and monitoring State and Federal legislation and budget issues that affect the County. In addition, special projects of an intergovernmental nature are staffed by the unit, including grants.

The Legislative Analyst performs research on and provides interpretation, analysis, and coordination of Federal and State legislative matters impacting the County. The Legislative Analyst also provides staff support in preparing legislative research and positions and performs varied, complex tasks in support of the work of the Intergovernmental and Public Affairs Unit.

This position receives general supervision from the County’s Chief Legislative Officer and may exercise indirect supervision over lower-level professional, technical, and clerical employees.

The City of Dixon is looking to fill one full-time position for a Maintenance Worker I/II in the Public Works Department and to create an eligibility list for future use. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:

Maintenance Worker I:  This is the entry level class in the maintenance worker series. Positions in this class normally perform a variety of unskilled and semi‑skilled maintenance tasks. Although trucks and other motorized equipment may be operated by a Maintenance Worker I, the equipment is used on a training basis or for tasks which are repetitious in nature. Under this training concept, positions assigned to the class of Maintenance Worker II which become vacant may reasonably be filled at the Maintenance Worker I level, with the understanding that reassignment to the Maintenance Worker II class may be expected following successful job performance and personal development.

Maintenance Worker II: This is the journey level in the maintenance worker series. Positions assigned to this class are expected to perform semi‑skilled and skilled public works maintenance activities and to operate light and moderately heavy power‑driven equipment on a continuing basis. All positions allocated to this class require that an incumbent be able to work independently, exercising judgment and initiative to fulfill assigned tasks.
