The Position

The Intergovernmental and Public Affairs Unit is responsible for managing the County's legislative programs in Sacramento and Washington DC. This includes developing the County's Legislative Session Program, initiating legislation, and monitoring State and Federal legislation and budget issues that affect the County. In addition, special projects of an intergovernmental nature are staffed by the unit, including grants.

The Legislative Analyst performs research on and provides interpretation, analysis, and coordination of Federal and State legislative matters impacting the County. The Legislative Analyst also provides staff support in preparing legislative research and positions and performs varied, complex tasks in support of the work of the Intergovernmental and Public Affairs Unit.

POSITION

Provides staff assistance to a City Administrative official; performs responsible professional and technical administrative and analytical duties.  Duties involve budgets, policies, procedures, organization, planning, contracts, facilities, systems, equipment, supplies, special projects, etc., depending on the job assignment, all or some of the following duties and qualifications may be invoked at the discretion of the Department Director.  The purpose of this recruitment is to fill an upcoming vacancy in the Community Development Department and in the Police Department, as well as establish an eligibility list for future vacancies.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

Candidate must be able to learn the complex duties of the Department, including budget preparation, creating and monitoring revenue projections, and reviewing expenditure reports, as this position is responsible for overseeing the department budget for all program areas. This class, therefore, is typically used as a training class within the series.

Management Analyst II - This is the full journey level class of the Management Analyst series.  Positions at this level are distinguished from the Management Analyst I level by the performance of the full range and complexity of duties as assigned with minimal assistance or direction.  Incumbents are thoroughly familiar with the operating procedures of the department or office to which assigned, and possess technical expertise related to assigned program responsibilities.  Positions in this class are flexibly staffed and are normally filled by advancement from the I level.

• Compiles data and assists in developing recommendations on the formulation of policy, procedure, staffing, and organizational changes; participates in the installation of new and revised programs, systems, procedures and methods of operation.

Accountant I

Accountant II

The City of Dixon is looking to fill one full-time position for a Maintenance Worker I/II in the Public Works Department and to create an eligibility list for future use. THE POSITION:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Secretary position in the City Clerk's Office will be a highly organized and detail-oriented individual, capable of handling a wide range of administrative and clerical duties. Strong proficiency in office software, including word processing and spreadsheets, is essential for this role. Police Records Specialist

The Police Records Specialist is a civilian, non-sworn position responsible for performing essential and sensitive administrative work in maintaining Police Department records, criminal information, and court documents. This position requires strong computer and organizational skills and attention to detail when processing and maintaining various police records, reports, statistics, and other related materials. Police Records Specialists interact daily with Town personnel, other law enforcement agencies, and the public. They must operate with complete confidentiality, diplomacy, and tact.

Police Records Specialists staff the public counter at the Town's Police Headquarters and assist walk-in customers with completing various forms and applications and processing subpoenas, criminal complaints, citations, and warrants. Successful candidates in this position possess strong customer service and communication skills, a calm demeanor, and the ability to maintain composure when dealing with difficult, high-stress situations.
