Under immediate/general supervision from a Maintenance Supervisor, and technical and functional supervision from a lead worker; to perform a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance and repair of landscape and parks, streets, equipment or building maintenance; occasionally assist in repair work; perform heavy manual labor. This classification does not operate heavy equipment and does not operate riding mowers.
Provide customer service related to Central Park / Lake Elizabeth boating operations in an efficient and courteous manner. Supervise activities on lake and surrounding areas. Respond to visitor concerns, operate a cash register, provide correct change, handle credit card transactions, maintain a clean and well-equipped worksite. Works well as part of a team in a fun, fast-paced outdoor environment. Employees are expected to work weekends and holidays.

The City of Albany has an immediate opening for the position of Maintenance Worker II.
Under general supervision, the Maintenance Worker II performs a variety of tasks in maintaining streets; storm drainage and sewer systems; parks, landscaped areas, and grounds; buildings; and vehicles, equipment, and tools. This position will focus heavily on irrigation. Duties include maintaining and repairing park equipment and irrigation systems, including time clocks and programming of irrigation controllers.
