Working under close supervision, Employment & Training Worker I is the entry/trainee level in the Employment & Training Worker series. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Drives and operates a variety of collection vehicles and equipment including one or two-person-staffed refuse collection truck, front, rear and side loaders in the collection and transportation of residential and commercial refuse; responds to afterhours call-outs if assigned.
• Maintains assigned truck by regular cleaning and washing, including inspecting for mechanical or other operating problems; reports mechanical or related problems for maintenance; may perform minor maintenance as appropriate.

• Assists with battery sorting, electronic waste collection, bin repair or delivery, cardboard removal, illegal dumping cleanup, and any other related solid waste program or assignment.

• Prepares, maintains and submits records, reports and forms including time records, equipment and maintenance records, and route maps and logs.
• Responds to questions and concerns from the general public; provides information as is appropriate and resolves public service complaints.
• Establishes positive working relationships with representatives of community organizations, state/local agencies, City management and staff and the public.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS

Position requires sitting, standing, walking on level and slippery surfaces, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, grasping and making repetitive hand movement in the performance of daily duties. The position also requires both near and far vision when inspecting work and operating assigned equipment. The need to lift, carry and push tools, equipment and supplies weighing 25 pounds or more is also required. Additionally, the incumbent in this outdoor position works in all weather conditions including wet, hot and cold. The incumbent may use cleaning and lubricating chemicals, pesticides or herbicides which may expose the employee to fumes, dust and air contaminants. The nature of the work also requires the incumbent to climb ladders, use power and noise producing tools and equipment, operate hydraulic aerial devices, drive motorized vehicles and heavy equipment, work in heavy vehicle traffic conditions and often work with constant interruptions.

SENIOR TRANSPORTATION ENGINEER

The Organization

The Public Works, Transportation Engineering Division plans and operates a multi-modal transportation system with safe and convenient choices for walking, bicycling, driving and using transit, through local actions, and in coordination with regional and state transportation agencies. Our work is guided by a City adopted Mobility Action Plan, Vision Zero Action Plan and in Coordination with the City's Mobility Commission. 

The City is currently developing its first Active Transportation Plan (ATP), which updates and consolidates its previous Bicycle Master Plan and Pedestrian Master Plan and provides guidance for its active transportation programs for the next five years.

The Position

The Senior Transportation Engineer plays a key role in implementing Fremont's General Plan vision to be "a national model of how an auto-oriented suburb can evolve into a sustainable, strategically urban, modern city." Specific City goals and current projects include implementing the "Vision Zero" traffic safety improvement program, transforming Fremont's transportation corridors into "complete streets" that are safe, comfortable, and convenient for all travel modes and users of "All Ages and Abilities", reducing the number of vehicle miles traveled, expanding available transit services, modernizing the City's traffic signal system, upgrading State Highway corridors, and supporting new innovations in transportation technology.

In 2019, the City completed a Mobility Action Plan and formed a Mobility Commission to assist with plan implementation. Summary:
Under general supervision, monitors and maintains the District’s central reservation system and main­tains schedules for outdoor facilities including fields, parks and picnic areas; and performs other related duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accurately processes monetary transactions including credit card transactions, issues receipts, reconciles cash and receipts, and prepares bank deposits.

• Assists with troubleshooting issues related to functionality of reservation software program, receives feedback on reservation system, and proposes modifications to program to enhance user experience.

THE POSITION

Tri-City is currently hiring to fill one full time vacancy for a bilingual Office Specialist. The Office Specialist provides difficult, complex, and specialized administrative support to assigned departmental projects and programs; develops, summarizes, and maintains administrative and financial records; types, edits, processes, distributes, and files a variety of documents; enters data and information into various databases and computer systems; and performs related duties as assigned.

This position will perform the following essential duties, including, but not limited to:

• Performs technical and procedural work in support for an assigned department, division, or program; applies technical procedures, methods, and techniques to support program and functions and processes; monitors and explains operational and program requirements and processes to various stakeholders.

• Provides information to the public or Authority Staff that requires the use of independent judgment, compliance with laws and interpretation of policies, rules and procedures.

• Greets and provides general information to clients, visitors, vendors, and staff, in person and on the telephone, in a professional manner; schedules appointments and meetings, and maintains calendars; assists clients by referring them to applicable sources of information; distributes applications and forms, and explains how to complete them; answers requests for information by consulting various available sources.

• Verifies and reviews calculations, forms, data, and reports for accuracy, completeness, and conformance with established Authority regulations and procedures.

• Types, formats, edits, revises, proofreads, tracks, and prints a variety of narrative, statistical, and technical documents, reports, correspondence, spreadsheets, and other documents and materials.

• Inputs, updates, tracks, and extracts information into appropriate databases and billing systems; searches records and files for data.

• Under the supervision of Medication Support Team manager or assigned designee, candidate will be responsible for scheduling all Initial Medication Evaluations, as well as keeping count of number of IME’s scheduled, attempts made, rescheduling, removal of candidates and all necessary functions related to the scheduling of IME, including documentation of action taken per Electronic Health Record.

• Completion of all Pharmacy requisitions and flex funds as indicated on a monthly basis.

• Under the Supervision of Medical Director-Compile Weekly Initial Medical Eval Reports, Monthly IME reports, blocking of all MD schedules including for vacations, trainings and meetings.
