The County of Yuba is recruiting for the position of Social Worker III/III Master’s Level in the Child and Adult Protective Services Division of the Health & Human Services Department in an effort to establish an eligibility list for future vacancies. Under general supervision, incumbents are fully competent to independently perform the most complex and sensitive social services case work by providing a variety of services to County residents; identify, access and document abuse and neglect cases; provide counseling and support services to children and parents; refer clients to services; prepare detailed, complex court documents and testify in court as required; and perform related work as assigned. The work may be related to a specific program area or to more general social service benefit provision. The Social Worker III and the Social Worker III – Master’s Level are the advanced journey-level classes in the general social work series.

The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for the position of Veteran's Services Officer within the Veteran's Services Division of the Health and Human Services Department. Under general supervision, the incumbent will organize, and coordinate the day-to-day operational activities of the Yuba-Sutter Bi-County Veteran Services program.

The incumbent will utilize their strong understanding of veterans' advocacy and the California Military and Veterans Code to provide guidance to staff and support to veterans and their dependents in accessing the full range of services and benefits available to them.

The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for the position of  Human Resources Analyst I/II in the Human Resources Department. The Human Resources Analyst performs a wide range of complex and professional analytical duties in support of a centralized human resources, organizational services and risk management office. 

This incumbent will use their strong understanding of human resources competencies and regulations to provide advice to supervisors, managers, and employees on all aspects of human resources policies, practices and procedures; research and analyze laws and regulations for compliance of human resources functions. Depending on the assignment, the incumbent will manage the County’s workforce development program, oversee employee development and training, and handle leave management. Other responsibilities may include diverse training for new and current staff; safety and risk management support; coordination of employee benefits; HRIS and payroll processes; workers' compensation claims; protected leaves administration and interactive process; and other duties as assigned.

• Continually research and analyze human resources policies, practices and procedures; assist with policy development and maintenance.

Examples of Duties specific to Employee Development:

•  Research and analyze county needs for organizational development and workforce planning; assist in implementation of county-wide development; monitor and evaluate effectiveness of development programs and make recommendations if gaps occur.

Examples of Duties specific Leave Management:

• Analyze, coordinate, and maintain general and medical leaves of absence in compliance with federal and state leave acts (FMLA and CFRA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and/or state laws; engage in the interactive process to ascertain precise job related limitations, identify potential accommodations and assess their effectiveness; coordinate leave benefits; and distribute written and verbal information to inform County management, supervisors and employees of program requirements.

Must be 18 years of age or older to apply for this position.

DEFINITION: Plan, organize and execute personal curriculum for elementary age children for a one hour onsite outdoor enrichment program. Program hours could include Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 2pm – 4pm and Wednesday 1:15pm – 3:15pm, preparation hours can be discussed.

• Create and maintain a positive after school environment.

• Practice proper hygiene, with self and children, to deter the spread of disease (colds, flu, etc).
• Render first aid in case of minor injuries.
• Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
• The ability to speak English clearly and understandably.
• Perform related duties as required.

DEFINITION: Under general supervision the aide assists in planning, organizing, and implementing preschool programming for children ages 3-5 years old. Program hours are M-F PM 8:30am – 1:00pm and/or MWF 8:30am - 1:00pm. Approximately 15 – 30 hours a week. Substitute and floating positions also available 8:30am - 1:00pm.
