The Yuba County Probation Department is seeking to fill a full-time Correctional Technician position at its Youth Detention Facilities. Working under general supervision, the Correctional Technician is responsible for monitoring video and audio systems to maintain the safety and security of both youths and staff within the secure detention areas. Additional responsibilities include performing various technical and clerical tasks related to the intake and release process for juveniles at the Tri-County Juvenile Hall and Maxine Singer Youth Guidance Center, inputting relevant data into the booking system, documenting observations of juveniles, providing public reception and assistance, and other related duties as assigned.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

Essential:

• Process paperwork provided by law enforcement officer or the courts for new inmates or youth; verify information on booking forms; obtain signatures; oversee telephone usage; obtain photographs; inventory and securely process property and money for safekeeping.
• Gather and enter inmate or youth information into computerized booking system; prepare and route computer-generated booking; complete files, logs, charts and other documents associated with jail or juvenile detention facility booking activities.
• Participate in monitoring safety and security of the staff, inmates, juveniles, visitors and facility; notify appropriate staff of any incidents, problems, or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and assess the behavior of inmates or youth from a control room; monitor radio communications; and operate intercom and electronic door controls in routine and emergency conditions.
• Process court paperwork, process discharge paperwork, and enter data into computer system.
• Update manual and automated inmate or youth records and tracking systems.
• Monitor inmates or youth on exercise yard from a controlled area; monitor and document inmates’ or youths’ recreational activities.
• Process and monitor visitors, ascertains nature of business, assist and/or direct visitors to appropriate person, observe visitation, report security violations.

What You Will Do

The Chief of Police is responsible for the planning, administration and operation of the APD under general administrative direction. About The Agency

The Northern California Regional Intelligence Center (NCRIC) and Northern California High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (NC HIDTA) is seeking a Lead Intelligence Analyst. The NCRIC/NCHIDTA fusion center is located at the Phillip Burton Federal Building, 450 Golden Gate Avenue, San Francisco, CA. Most Lead Intelligence Analyst positions are in San Francisco. Positions may become available at off-site locations within the area of responsibility. The hours of service are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. Personnel assigned to the position may work 4 days a week with 10-hour days.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is:

Education equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Quantitative Analysis, Information Management, Criminal Justice or a related field; and

Three (3) years of experience involving crime data collection, statistical research and analysis, and working with criminal intelligence automated systems design and implementation.

Licensure/Certification: Possession of or acquisition of a valid certification in Crime and Intelligence Analysis within twelve (12) months of appointment or other training certification that demonstrates qualifications that meet or exceed competencies identified in the Global Justice Information Sharing Initiative, Law Enforcement Analytic Standards Booklet, 2nd Edition: Law Enforcement Analytic Standards (ojp.gov) , and the Common Competencies of Intelligence Analysts, 1st Edition: Common Competencies for State, Local, and Tribal Intelligence Analysts (ojp.gov)

The County of Yuba is recruiting for both Extra-Help and Full-Time Juvenile Corrections Officers I/II, in an effort to fill current vacancies and expand staffing levels. These positions are located on the Tri-County Youth Rehabilitation Campus which falls under the Juvenile Institutions Division of the Yuba County Probation Department.  The primary responsibilities of this flexibly staffed position are to: provide care, custody, supervision, and control of youth housed in the secured detention facilities while they are pending legal action or serving a post adjudication commitment; ensure and sustain a safe and secure environment for youth; and coordinate counseling and behavior modification activities associated with the operation of the facilities.

About Detention Services & Yuba County:

Our Campus provides youth detention services to the communities of Yuba, Sutter, and Colusa Counties as well as several contract counties through our Camp Singer program.  We operate 24 hours a day, 365 days per year, and includes the Tri-County Juvenile Hall, Secure Housing Unit, and Maxine Singer Youth Guidance Center (Camp Singer), under a Joint Powers Agreement between the three counties. POSITION

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The Woodland Public Library is seeking a team-orientated, enthusiastic, and forward-thinking Library Program Manager to provide oversight, development, and implementation of programs and services primarily related to adult services with general library support. Successful candidates will be flexible, energetic, dedicated to customer service, positive, and excited to work in the community of Woodland. The position works in collaboration with the Library Director and divisional Library Program Managers to help the Library provide free and equitable access to information, and informative and dynamic programming.  The Ideal Candidate enjoys working with and developing relationships with the public, schools, and other City organizations.  The ability to speak and understand Spanish is highly desirable.

Library Program Manager I: This is the entry level class in the professional library series. Assignments are generally limited in scope and within the design and procedural framework established by the Library Services Director. However, as experience is acquired, the employee performs with increasing independence.

Library Program Manager II: This is the journey level class in the professional library series. Positions in this class are flexibly staffed and are normally filled by advancement from the lower class of Librarian Program Manager I, or when filled from the outside, require prior professional library work experience.  Appointment to the higher class requires that the employee be performing substantially the full range of duties for the class and meet the qualification standards for the class. Work in this class is distinguished from that of a Library Program Manager I by greater complexity of the assignments received and by greater independence with which an incumbent is expected to operate.

The City of Westlake Village is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Associate Planner who has the ability to develop and maintain positive and ongoing relationships and interactions with the public, City staff, and consultants; the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner; and the appropriate skills in managing multiple projects and activities at the same time. The position will assist the Planning Director in administering the City’s Zoning Ordinances, General Plan, and various other programs in support of the City’s residents and businesses. The City of Orinda Planning Department seeks a strong customer-service oriented Planning Technician to primarily staff the Planning Counter and process code-enforcement cases.  Depending on experience, the successful candidate may also gain opportunities to assist with various current and long-range planning tasks.  This non-exempt position reports to the Director of Planning.

Minimum Qualifications: Candidates with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply:

This is an entry level position in the professional planning field.  Applicants must meet at least one of the following education/experience qualifications.

1. A four-year bachelor’s degree in planning or a related field
2. Equivalent to two years of college, supplemented by at least two years of job experience or training in the planning or a related field
3. Four years of planning and building administrative support experience
    

License or Certificates:   Possession of, or ability to obtain a valid California driver's license.
 
Special Requirements:   Essential duties require the following physical skills and work environment:  Ability to work in a standard office environment including ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, stoop, squat, twist, and lift 25 lbs.; ability to travel to different sites and locations.

Any candidate selected by the hiring department will be required to successfully complete a pre-employment process, which may consist of a background history check, conviction history check, as well as a medical exam including a pre-placement drug screen before hire.

Primary duties of the Planning Technician include (but are not limited to):

• Assist the public at the service counter, collect and process forms, permit applications and plans.
• Respond to counter and telephone inquiries and provide information related to building and planning applications, plan checking procedures, policies, and functions.
• Compute required fees.
• Assist with data collection, analyze data using a variety of data sources, including GIS.
• Create and maintain departmental activities files. Research files for information in response to department staff requests.
• Assist with reporting requirements such as the Annual Progress Report for the Housing Element.
• Create building permit database and land use tracking systems
• Maintain and update GIS mapping system and other databases, create charts and maps as requested.
• Process code enforcement cases.
• Coordinate and conduct follow-up abatement procedures, including preparing correspondence, and property owner site visits. Conduct code and ordinance research for compliance. Receive, track/monitor and investigate public staff municipal codes and ordinances, standards, health and safety and other complaints.
• Conduct review of discretionary planning applications for design review, exceptions, tree removal, and other related requests.
• Serve as the City’s staff liaison to various groups (i.e., Orinda Historical Society)
  Basic mathematical principles.

• Proficiency in GIS mapping.
• English usage, spelling, vocabulary, grammar and punctuation.
• Working knowledge of modern office equipment and procedures, including the use of a variety of software applications.
• Principles and procedures of record keeping.
• Business letter writing and report preparation.
• Excellent customer service skills.
