Accountant I

This is the entry-level classification in the Accountant Series. Accountant II

This is the full journey-level classification in the series. Positions at this level are distinguished from the I-level by the performance of the full range of duties as assigned, working independently, and exercising judgment and initiative. Positions at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit. Successful performance of the work requires thorough knowledge of governmental accounting practices and procedures, fund accounting, and fiscal management.

The positions in the Accountant class series are flexibly staffed. THE POSITION:

The Police Records Specialist is a civilian, non-sworn position responsible for performing essential and sensitive administrative work in maintaining Police Department records, criminal information, and court documents. About the Department

The Town of Los Gatos and the City of Monte Sereno have a combined population of about 34,000 residents who enjoy a high quality of life with low crime rates. The LGMS Police Department is budgeted for 39 sworn and 21 civilian personnel and has over 50 community volunteers. The members of the LGMS Police Department work hard to provide a full range of services. They are committed to providing our residents, businesses, and visitors with the highest quality service.
