The County of Yuba is recruiting in an effort to fill current vacancies and establish an employment eligibility list for both Extra-Help and Full-Time positions for the Juvenile Corrections Officer I/II classification. These positions are located on the Tri-County Youth Rehabilitation Campus which falls under the Juvenile Institutions Division of the Yuba County Probation Department. Our Campus operates 24 hours a day, 365 days per year, and includes the Tri-County Juvenile Hall, Secure Housing Unit, and Maxine Singer Youth Guidance Center (Camp Singer).
The Yuba County Sheriff’s Department is currently recruiting for the position of Correctional Officer in the Jail. Under continuing supervision incumbents perform a wide variety of support in two areas: corrections, in which incumbents ensure the security, safety and care of individuals in custody; and bailiff, in which incumbents ensure the safety and security of the courts and their personnel during court proceedings; and perform related work as assigned. Incumbents may be assigned to either County Jail security or Court security.
