The Area Manager participates in long term and short term project planning; coordinates assigned activities with other District departments and outside agencies.

The San Jose Police Department is currently recruiting for a School Safety Supervisor position. The School Safety Supervisor will be part of the San Jose Police Department's Support Services Division, School Safety & Education Unit. The School Safety and Education Unit provides administrative support and staffing for the Adult Crossing Guard Program for the City of San Jose. Additionally, the Unit coordinates the training and supervision of Student Safety Patrols at elementary schools located throughout the City.
The Police Department's opening for a Department Information Technology Manager in the Systems Development Division of the Bureau of Technical Services. This position is a senior level technical manager who will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day Police Department Application services. This is a hands-on position whose daily activities include management of an Applications Sustainment Support team and maintaining major department wide applications which support critical line personnel.
