Under the direction of the IS Operations & Support Assistant Manager, the Database Administrator architects, tests, implements, maintains, and documents Agency databases. The database administrator collaborates closely with IS development and Agency operations personnel to provide backend database solutions for custom applications, including real-time, scheduling, and settlement programs. The database administrator troubleshoots and provides solutions for database problems.

Level III
This classification supports and maintains the Agency’s database infrastructure and related applications. Administers all database objects, including but not limited to schemas, tables, clusters, indexes, and views. Performs database re-organizations as needed to improve performance. Performs impact analysis of changes to be made to database objects before implementing significant schema changes. Ensures security for all databases by creating roles and associated privileges. Controls and monitors user access to databases. This is a journey-level position and is given minimal direction in job duties and responsibilities.  

Level IV
Architects and designs the Agency’s database infrastructure and ensures the highest levels of availability. Leads database projects to establish new database architectures. Oversees upgrades and implementations of new databases or related software.   Position can perform all lower level requirements and works independently with very little direction May be called upon to provide reports or present to the Agency’s Information Technology Committee. May direct the work of lower classifications.     

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position requires that the incumbent reports for work on time and maintains satisfactory attendance in accordance with Agency policy; Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; Arrives to meetings and appointments on time; Performs special assignments for the Assistant Manager, Information Services or others as assigned. Responsibilities:
Design, create and maintain all Oracle databases required for development, testing, and production usage. 

Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot Database server software for both stand-alone instances and Real Application Clusters (RAC). Includes patching both Oracle and Windows. 

Administer all database objects, including schemas, tables, clusters, indexes, views, sequences, constraints, packages, and procedures. This includes creating primary database storage structures (tablespaces) and primary objects (tables, views, indexes). Manage the sharing of resources between applications. 

Troubleshoot problems regarding the databases, servers, applications and development tools. Open technical support cases with support as needed and serve as primary support contact for NCPA. 

Perform capacity planning for all databases. Work closely with IS storage and system administration staff to plan and allocate database system storage. 

Experienced with creating, managing, and maintaining data warehouse technologies.

Perform ongoing monitoring and tuning of all database instances and Windows servers to optimize database performance and reliability. 

Plan and implement backup and recovery of Agency databases. Maintain remote standby databases using archive logs.

Implement and enforce security for all of the Databases through creating and maintaining users and roles, and assigning privileges. Control and monitor user access to the database. 

Perform database re-organizations as required to improve performance and ensure maximum uptime of the database. Modify the database structure from information given by application developers. Gather statistics, create indexes, create or expand tablespaces as needed. 

Perform SQL and PL/SQL tuning and performance monitoring. 

Set up and maintain documentation and standards for database practices and procedures. 

Provide technical support to application developers and database users. 

Perform impact analysis of changes to be made to database objects. Approve and implement/oversee significant schema changes and changes to database design. 

Provide support during non-standard hours (on an as-needed basis, on-call 24x7x365). 

Provide a strategic database direction for the organization.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Level III:
Education and/or Experience
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field and five or more years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Level IV: 
Education and/or Experience 
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field and eight or more years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

THE POSITION

The California Children's Services (CCS) Medical Therapy Unit (MTU) is seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapist to provide a full range of physical therapy treatments/services to children with physical disabilities from birth to 21 years at special education sites. The children have chronic neuromuscular conditions, such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, traumatic brain injury and muscular dystrophy. The incumbents will be working on an interdisciplinary team with parents and other professionals. The ideal candidate has graduated from an accredited physical therapy curriculum and has at least one year of experience working in pediatrics, with neurological and orthopedic conditions. Physical Therapist II, CCS ($51.12 - $63.90/ Hourly) is the experienced journey level class in this series. Incumbents in this class perform the full range of general therapy treatments with a greater degree of independence and proficiency, additionally applying more specialized and advanced therapy treatments. Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Cyber Security: monitor and maintain security on infrastructure systems including IT security applications and appliances. DEFINITION

• OPERATOR I (COLLECTION)
  Under general supervision or direction, the Operator I (Collection) is responsible for the overall operation of the wastewater collections system, which includes the repair and maintenance of the sewer collection system and pump stations.
   
• OPERATOR II (COLLECTION)
  Under general direction, supervises the operation of the Collections System of the Wastewater Treatment Plant on a designated shift to ensure processing and discharge of wastewater which complies with performance standards of State regulatory agencies; perform any combination of tasks involved with inspection, construction, repair, and preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance of sanitary personnel; prepares logs and other records; performs maintenance tasks as required and other related duties as required.
   

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION REQUIREMENTS

BASIC EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

• OPERATOR I (COLLECTION)
  Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Performs operation and maintenance on sanitary sewer pump station.
  • Responds to service requests regarding clogged mainline stoppages, mainline breaks, manholes and related structures.
  • Performs mechanical work in repairing and installing equipment.
  • Operates compressor, air gun tamper, backhoe and other related construction tools.
  • May undertake minor carpentry, plumbing, cement work and electrical.
  • Performs general grounds maintenance work, sweeping, sanding, painting.
  • Maintains routine and daily records.
     
• OPERATOR II (COLLECTION)
  Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Lead a crew in the safe performance of preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance of sanitary sewers
  • Respond to service requests, unclog mainline stoppages, and keep records on sewer line cleanings and state of existing problems within the Collections System
  • Repair mainline breaks, replace broken pipe and reconnect pipe sections
  • Operate power rodder, jet truck, backhoe and TV equipment
  • Conduct periodic inspections and perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to wastewater pumping stations and equipment
  • Keep daily logs and records on equipment; makes reports to the supervisor
  • Provide technical assistance and prescribe work methods and safety procedures to maintenance workers and utility workers
  • Inspect installation of new sewer lines, laterals and related structures; may study blueprints and specifications preparatory to inspection of construction project
  • Supervises the work of all operating personnel assigned to shift; trains and evaluates performance of shift employees, enforces safety procedures in conformance with policy of plant’s safety program.

THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking for an individual to serve as a Clinical Therapist I/II for the Adult Full-Service Partnership (FSP). The Clinical Therapist I/II will appeal to individuals who are inspired by challenges and opportunities presented in working with an engaged and active community with moderate to severe behavioral health clients. The Clinical Therapist will report to a Clinical Supervisor.

 

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

 

• Provides individual, group, and family interventions, rehabilitation, and treatment services including counseling, therapy, case management, and referral and linkage to community services to a variety of clients including high acuity clients.

 

• Within scope of authority, assesses, diagnoses, and treats a variety of clients with mental health disorders; collaborates with clients and creates individualized treatments plans according to client’s needs and circumstances.

 

• Initiates and conducts individual, group, and family counseling and biopsychosocial therapy sessions utilizing a variety of techniques and modalities; provides case management services in the office and in the field.

 

• Performs routine and emergency intake evaluations according to Authority procedure;
  completes appropriate forms and documents relating to the intake process; and prepares medical and demographic case history for use in diagnosis.

 

• Assists clients and family members in understanding behavioral health diagnosis, contributing factors/causes, effects, prognosis, rehabilitation, and treatment.

 

• Works with clients to address stressors and barriers to treatment and/or social functioning; identifies and focuses on client strengths and personal resources to effectively engage and treat client.

We are currently looking for a Clinical Therapist I or II to work on our MHSSA Grant Team within Tri-City's Child & Family Clinic. This position will be a part of a 3 year - federally funded MHSSA Grant Team that is scheduled to end in December 2026. The team is being formed to foster stronger school-community mental health partnerships that can leverage resources to help students succeed.  The Clinical Therapist I/II position will report to a Clinical Supervisor and will work on a multidisciplinary team consisting of other Clinical Therapists and Behavioral Health Specialists in partnership with the school and families.

These positions are responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Work directly with or work with staff who work directly with at high-risk youth, foster youth, youth who identify as LGBTQ+, and youth who have been suspended or expelled from school and their families to provide culturally inclusive and relevant mental health services such as early intervention, suicide prevention, drop-out prevention, evidence based mental health practices and the development and coordination of service plans to address ongoing needs;

 

• Provides individual, group, and family interventions, rehabilitation, and treatment services including counseling, therapy, case management, and referral and linkage to community services to a variety of clients including high acuity clients.

 

• Within scope of authority, assesses, diagnoses, and treats a variety of clients with mental health disorders; collaborates with clients and creates individualized treatments plans according to client’s needs and circumstances.
