The City of Orinda Planning Department is seeking a strong, customer-service oriented Planning Technician, for a limited-term, to primarily staff the Planning Counter and process code-enforcement cases. Depending on experience, the successful candidate may also gain opportunities to assist with various current and long-range planning tasks. This non-exempt position will report to the Director of Planning.
The Department of Public Works is seeking to fill one vacant Overstrength Sr. Facilities Repair Worker position. This position is a temporary, benefited position, with a standard 40 hours per week with an end date of June 30, 2020.
This classification is FLSA exempt and reports directly to the Assistant City Manager; oversees, provides direction, and participates in all activities of the Community Development Department. Responsibilities include coordinating the activities of the department with those related to planning, development, zoning, and building of the City. The incumbent is accountable for accomplishing departmental planning and operational goals and objectives for furthering the city’s strategic priorities, goals, and objectives within general policy guidelines.
Under the general supervision of the Youth & Family Services Clinical Supervisor, the Intervention Counselor provides crisis intervention and individual and family counseling; identifies appropriate referral services to youth, families and individuals; participates in department and community meetings as necessary.
