The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for the position of Building Maintenance Technician—HVAC in the Administrative Services Department. Currently, the employment list created from this recruitment may also be used to fill Extra-Help vacancies. This position reports directly to the Building and Grounds Supervisor.

DEFINITION: Under supervision, drives the City’s 7-15 passenger van(s) and provides responsible, safe transport for senior citizens and the physically disabled. Schedule may include evenings, holidays and weekends; work schedule will not exceed 28 hours per week.

The Crossing Guard position is a temporary position, approximately five hours per day, two (2) hours in the morning and three (2) hours in the afternoon, Monday through Friday. Crossing Guards work a school year (September through June). Applicants must be able to work outdoors, have reliable transportation or ability to report to assignment consistently.

Hiring Incentive Pilot Program:
- Candidates hired as a Public Safety Radio Dispatcher-TRAINEE on or after February 9, 2020, shall be eligible to receive a non-pensionable lump sum payment of $2,000.
- Once the Public Safety Radio Dispatcher-TRAINEE is eligible for promotion and enters into the Public Safety Radio Dispatcher classification, the employee is then eligible to receive an additional non-pensionable lump sum payment of $2,000.
